A multiway shootout at a gun store involves an apparently bulletproof patron. At the same time, a young girl's body is found dumped by the roadside. And the two crimes are strangely connected to an apparent suicide pact.

Title: Better Off Dead
The term Better Off Dead has a number of connotations in English, generally involving ("sorta duh") someone being believed to be a negative force in the world. One might say that one's enemy would be "better off dead", in other words, "you'd prefer them that way". It can also be self-applied, for someone who is suicidal, and believes that they are sufficiently unhappy with their lives that they would be "happier" if they were dead than they are alive. The term was used as the title of an early movie in John Cusack's career, also starring Demi Moore -- 1985's Better Off Dead. Nowadays, the movie is best remembered for an effectively amusing but weirdly out of place claymation sequence set to Van Halen's Everybody Wants Some
