When a man is caught dumping trash in a wildlife refuge, the CSIs are called in when the trash is found to include medical waste and a young man's body. Meanwhile, two young women on vacation together are found dead... in two different places and two different circumstances. Was it a single murderer, or did they fall afoul of two different killers?

Title: Sin City Blue

A riff off the title of the critically acclaimed, long-running cop-drama N.Y.P.D. Blue, with Sin City (a common nickname for Las Vegas) in place of the "NYPD" (New York [City] Police Department). The term "Blue" in this case is meant to refer to the traditional uniform color for police.

Catherine: My body's done. "Smurf's up!"

A macabre two-way pun -- since she's using blue fingerprint powder on the girl's body, the body winds up a bright blue color reminiscent of the popular Belgian cartoon characters known as Smurfs. In addition, there is a classic beach slang, "Surf's Up!" for the time of best surfing, when the waves are at their highest and conditions are ideal.
