During the testimony in court at the beginning of the episode, it is stated that the murder of Stacy Vollmer took place on 2 December 2005. The photographs of the corpse being examined by Catherine have a "file date" of 13 November 2005 clearly visible in the lower right hand corner. How were pictures of the corpse taken before the murder took place?
Cultural References
Episode Title: The Unusual Suspect
The episode title refers to the 1995 movie, The Usual Suspects. Both are a reference to a line from the movie Casablanca: "Major Strasser has been shot. Round up the usual suspects." The term, since then, has become a widespread cultural meme for those usually assumed to be the perpetrators of something due to their past history.

This is a reference to the TV series,
