A young man is found dead in a designer suit and with the keys to a Ferrari in his pocket. Investigations show that he was having a "really good day", winning at the poker tables, meeting and bedding a really beautiful woman, after beating another guy's time with her. Deeper investigation reveals that he was an unwitting participant in a special gift, a weekend created by a company that specializes in identifying one's fantasy and making them come real.
Sara: Please tell me there are something more to this guys and cars thing, besides the obvious penis extension metaphors.
Greg: So you want me to lie?
Catherine: Stimulate, erection, and a pain killer -- party in a pill.
Doc Robbins: Where was that on my wedding night?
(while talking about the crash)
Sofia: Which means the Ferrari was the faster vehicle.
Car Dealer: The Ferarri is always the faster vehicle.
Catherine: So whats a guy dressed for a party, with a key to this hotel doing out here?
Grissom: I don't know. But the party's over.
Title: Time of Your Death
The episode title is a play on the common saying "time of your life", as in "the best time of your life", a superlative moment in one's personal experiences.
Grissom: Well, call me Ishmael.
Grissom is referring to the first line of the novel, Moby Dick. Grissom made this reference because high stakes gamblers are often referred to as "whales" and Moby Dick tells the story of a whale.
