Cultural References

Title: Drops Out

The term "drop out" is an English euphemism for someone who has quit at something, particularly school or the common process of a modern life in Western civilization. The title is a play-on-words using the previously established street character known as "Drops" and the fact that he is sprung "out" from jail temporarily to help with the case.

This episode's overall plot has a similarity to the classic Eddie Murphy action-comedy movie "48 Hours", which, along with "Beverly Hills Cop", established his career.
