CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: One to Go (2)

Grissom gets help from Dr. Raymond Langston, a criminal pathologist, as they work on solving a murder and kidnapping case. the crimes maybe linked to an imprisoned serial killer who attended a class which Langston taught and Grissom monitored. Grissom offers Langston a job on the team as he prepares to leave CSI for good.

The term 'X down, Y to go' refers to a sequential list of actions, or a set upon which a number of actions is to be performed, usually performed on the same type of object. In this case, it refers to murder victims of a serial killer. The grisly meaning is that 19 have been murdered, and one remains to be murdered.
