CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is an innovative, fast-paced drama that follows a crew of forensic investigators on the appropriately named "graveyard" shift at the top non-FBI Forensics lab in the country, located in Las Vegas, as they solve crimes by analyzing evidence with advanced forensic tools. Many of the shows are loosely based on real-life events, police cases, and situations.

The crew is headed by D.B. Russell, the senior investigator and the shift supervisor devoted to finding the truth through the latest forensic methods combined with old-fashioned research and intuition. Alongside Gil is Julie (Finn) Finlay as D.B.'s second-in-comand; Nick Stokes, a self-proclaimed ladies man with an objective to find the wrong-doers; Sara Sidle, the outspoken member who often lets her troubled past get in the way of her job; Greg Sanders, a quirky lab tech (later switching to a field operative); and Morgan Brody, the newest member to the team. The crew works alongside Captain Jim Brass, the former head of the graveyard shift turned captain; and medical examiner Dr. Al Robbins.

This cutting-edge drama recently began its 13th season on the air, and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. Main cast that has left during the previous seasons are
Warrick Brown (played by Gary Dourdan), Gil Grissom (played by William Petersen), Dr. Raymond Langston (played by Laurence Fishburne) and Catherine Willows (played by Marg Helgenberger).

This series has two spin-offs:
CSI: Miami and CSI: New York.

Who thought science could be this entertaining? Not me. Science and I have never gotten along. Usually anything scientific becomes an instant bore-fest for me, but CSI is quite the opposite. The science and different forensic techniques used on the show are way cool and made me more interested in how a case is solved rather than the "whodunit" formula most crime shows follow. Read more

Most watched show on TV?Rating: 1 likes, 2 dislikes

Well is this a good show? I guess it must be since it is the most watched show on television apparently. The reason for that is the fact that it never gets old and there are ALWAYS new ideas. I mean, there's got to be at least 1349382 different ways that a person could be murdered. The characters are good, although there are some that I don't like. I love the way they do the reenactments of the murders to give you a feel for what really happened. Hopefully this show can keep it up. Read more

I love this show ,I loved it when it came out then and still enjoy it now. Out of all CSI shows on, this one is the best. CSI is about the science and techniques behind the investigations, where as CSI NY is more about the people in the lab and CSI Miami which zips through the science portion as if the director or writers were all jocks. Recaps
13x22: Skin in the Game recap: The episode begins at a ‘Black Sabbath’ concert, where Conrad and Russell meet John Merchiston, a reporter, who wants to do a story on the team. Conrad thinks that it would be good PR, but Russell doesn’t seem to be too crazy about the idea of John hanging around with the team for three days. However, he agrees. Russell gets called to the latest crime scene. Russell and John arrive at the scene, and Brass tells John not to touch anything. John tells him that he has gone through his forensics training when he did a piece on Scotland Yard... read more.

13x21: Ghosts Of The Past recap: The episode begins with a ghost hunter, Owen Webber and his team, Doug and Carrie, trying to hunt the ghost of Walter Sims, a gruesome serial killer. Carrie goes to check the room where Sims killed the little boys. Owen and Doug go to the hanging room, which has a lot of metallic hooks (used to hang meat) hanging from the ceiling. Doug tries to summon Sims’s spirit. He pulls out a knife from his bag pack, similar to the ones that Sims used to butcher the boys, and tries to lure the ghosts. At that moment, the metallic hooks start clanking, and it is seen that the knife has disappeared. Doug starts screaming... read more.

13x20: Fearless recap: The episode begins with the Force of Mind seminar being conducted by Alan Quinn. Hodges’ girlfriend, Elisabetta, who is also attending the seminar, tells Hodges over the phone, that she is having a great time. She tells him that she is about to enter the sacred mud bath. She hangs up the phone and enters the bath, where Santo is waiting for her. He wants to know if she has told Hodges about him. She tells him that it is not the right time. They are about to have some fun when a dead body floats to the surface of the bath. Later, the team arrives at the crime scene... read more.

13x19: Backfire recap: The episode begins with a little girl preparing breakfast. There is blood on the kitchen floor. The girl takes her breakfast and walks past three dead bodies lying in the hall. She picks up a book from the shelf and walks out of the house. Later, the CSI team arrives at the scene. Robbins talks to the little girl, Molly. Russell arrives and Robbins tells him that the girl’s last name is Goodwin. She lived in the house with her mother, Grace, and uncle, Steven. There are three dead bodies, one of which is Steven’s, and the other two appear to be his friends... read more.

13x18: Sheltered recap: The episode begins with a man being chased and killed. The team arrives at the site and judging by the camouflage, Nick says that the man could be ex-military. A homeless couple found the body. There is extensive bruising on the face and an animal bite mark on the leg. Nick thinks it could be a wolf or a dog. He also sees that somebody took away the victim’s hands. So, with no ID, no wallet, no fingerprints, they are stumped. At the lab, Sara and Russell go through the surveillance footage and they see some guy dumping the victim. He was wearing night vision goggles... read more.
