	Chief Medical Examiner Alexx Woods, played by Khandi Alexander Alexx's road to the morgue has been a long one. One a doctor of the living Alexx was blacklisted by scheming doctor to cover his own negligence resulting in the death of a patient. This left her with one place to go the New York ME's office. Enjoying the peace and control she had in this new enviorment, after a long time Alexx was happy again. When Miami-Dade approached her to head up their new facility after much consideration she moved her family to Florida. Where she can use her bedside manner on the dead who in her mind still have a story to tell.
