Enjoyable episode and a great introduction to a new cast member (Cardoza). I liked the flashback to 1997 and how the team first met, the 8th season opener had a different vibe to it and although slick it lacked a certain punch I expect from CSI Miami.
The colours remain vibrant, part of the whole appeal of the series and Horation finds his sunglasses thanks to Eric!! Quite funny how they wrote that into the storyline given the emphasis placed on Horatio and his sunnies these days! Worth watching and although it doesn't go too deeply into character building of old it certainly is an episode for the fans.
Interesting to see Duquesne in hyper mode throughout - she's hardened to the game 12 years later!!!
