First part of the “CSI Trilogy” (second on CSI: NY and third on CSI). After a freaked out woman enters the CSI’s lab screaming and crying that her daughter has gone missing, Horatio puts himself and his team on the case. At the crime scene, Calleigh finds evidence of a violent abduction and every team member talk to the different people the girl talked to before she got lost. However, when the CSIs get their first real lead, it all connects to a very similar case in Las Vegas, resulting in Ray Langston (from CSI) to come to Miami to help them investigate.

Pinecastle is, in actual fact, "outside of Orlando". Nominally. It's actually as "outside of Orlando" as Brooklyn is "Outside of Manhattan" -- it's part of the greater Orlando area, and any girl from Pinecastle is hardly a "small town girl". The writer, director, and all the other people involved in this scene clearly have never even been in the area. One is surprised they don't have someone familiar with Florida, at least, there to look over things like this and suggest adjustments. |

Title: "Bone Voyage"
The title is a parody of "Bon Voyage", which is a French phrase that means "good journey". It's most likely that this title was chosen because this episode marks the beginning of the CSI Trilogy week, where Dr. Ray Langston from CSI travels to Miami, New York and then back to Las Vegas, in which he has a "good journey". The title with the "Bone", not "Bon" might also refer to the plotline of the CSI team finding a severed leg in the Everglades. |
