The reference to a vehicle wheelbase of 60 inches is way off. There is no car whose centerline distance between the front and rear wheels is only five feet. Most automotive wheelbases are between 90-100 inches and the biggest cars get over 120 inches. The S-Type Mercedes referred to by Horatio has a 121.5 wheelbase. The writers should have referred to track or track width, the spacing between front wheels (or rear wheels), where 60 inches is fairly common (and the S-Type is 62 inches). Track width would also be a lot easier to use as evidence since calculating wheelbase from tire tracks would at the least require measuring the arcs from all four tires.
In the beginning, when Horatio calls in and says that they have a missing 6-year old boy, they say they are on the case. Then, near the ending, they mention something about the boy, and they say he is eight years old. That's two years off.
