When a believer in Santeria, a mix of Catholicism and African voodoo, is found murdered in front of her shrine of animal sacrifices, bizarre incidents start happening around the CSI lab and people start speculating that the lab is cursed. However, the case takes an unexpected turn when the CSIs discover that the victim may have been murdered over a tangled plot involving stolen gold.
Alexx: Maybe it's a message. Someone trying to scare us off the case?
Horatio: Maybe. But we don't scare that easy... do we, Alexx?
Wolfe: So, let me get this straight - you're scared of being cursed and that's why you're not gonna collect the little coffin over there?
Delko: Yeah. It's not out of fear, though, it's out of respect. These are holy offerings, it's sacrilege to mess with them.
Wolfe: Oh, well, uhh, this is evidence.
Delko: That's why you're here.
Wolfe: Okay, fine. I'm not scared.
Jeremy Fordham: (on the coffin) Where is that now?
Delko: It's in our lab.
Jeremy Fordham: You need to burn that thing.
Horatio: Why is that?
Jeremy Fordham: 'Cause if you don't get rid of it, someone else is going to die.
Dan Cooper: So, I Frankensteined this little contraption together you see before you eyes, it's my little monster. It's kinda fitting for the case, don't you think?
Calleigh: Yes, it's very cute. In fact, I can't believe you put all this together today, it took me a week to set up my TiVo.
Delko: (after telling Wolfe to switch his flashlight off so as not to alert anyone of their presence) Just take it easy, Wolfe, alright? (draws his gun and turns on his flashlight after being startled by an iguana) Not a word, Wolfe.
Wolfe: Take it easy, Delko!
Delko: Not a word.
Horatio: (whilst calmly walking away from the exploding car) Burn, baby, burn.
Natalia: I guess you just... never know when death is coming.
Horatio: No, we don't and that's why we shouldn't live in fear of it.
Natalia: You're right. You're right.
