||Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny
Hank Moody is not a good man. He'd be the first to tell you this. He loves his ex Karen and his daughter Becca, but constantly fails to be a good father or potential husband. His professional life isn't any better. He finds himself struggling with writer's block often, and takes side jobs that he hates just to make money.
The one thing Hank Moody really excels at is relations with the opposite sex. Hank has this intangible quality that seemingly makes him irresistible to any and all women, even married ones. Unfortunately for Hank, women are also his biggest weakness. His inability to control his sexual appetites have wrecked many an attempt to reunite his family, and it always seems that he takes two steps back with every one step forward.
Despite all his flaws, his friends and family continue to stick by him time after time. They do this for the simple reason that Hank really does want to change, he wants to do better, he wants to make his family proud. Hank truly is sorry for everything he's done wrong. Will he ever really change? Only time will tell. Until then, he's trying this best to both enjoy and survive the wild ride that is life in L.A.
