Monkey Business - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Charlie loves Hank's new script, declaring it a "total game changer". Charlie's over the moon, and Hank is subdued and wallowing in self-pity. He puts himself in bed, and Charlie gets him right back out again. They have to meet with the money man who is going to be financing the movie.

Marcy and Karen are having drinks. The amp is a bit loud, and Marcy's startle reflex causes her to toss her drink on the ground. As Marcy cleans up, Karen asks if she's heard anything from Hank, is he okay. Marcy says to find out would require her actually having to speak to him. She declares that Becca's band mates look feral. Karen wants to go get them something to nosh on, and Marcy is scared to leave her home behind because they may sacrifice a goat in her absence.

Money man wants the movie shot in 30 days. He gets mixed responses, so asks Hank what he thinks. Before Hank can answer, Charlie does. This causes Zigzag to scream "SILENCE, AGENT!" Hank is impressed. Hank tells him his work here is done. Zig asks if Sasha Bingham will star, and Stu says absolutely, she's reading the script as we speak. Zig proceeds to hold a conversation that is not only vulgar and immature. The people who want his money (Stu and Charlie) laugh right along with him. Zig yells at Charlie again, and he's stunned but Stu yells right back at him. He's in, the money is theirs. Charlie tries to hand him the script, but Zig announces that screenplays bore him to tears. He likes to have things acted out for him. they'll go to the house and do that now.

Marcy and Karen are at the store. Karen's boobs are swollen and they hurt. Karen thinks she's pregnant, and Marcy bursts into tears at the thought. Her period is late, and she has the munchies.

The acting is happening, very lame. Zig gives his feedback. He loves it. Not only has he decided to fully-fund the movie, but he has his very first diamond-hard erection since the Clinton White House. Zig's monkey starts yelling at Charlie. Zig says that the monkey could do Charlie's job. Zig heads upstairs for more and leaves his two girls kissing and making out. One of the guys asks who wants to get baked, and everybody raises a hand, including the monkey.

Karen and Marcy get home, and the girls are rehearsing. Marcy is refusing to take her pregnancy test, she's never been a mom, and she doesn't want to start now.

Hank asks the making out girls if they're really sisters, or is this kind of a White Stripes deal. They start bringing Hank in on the action, but he pulls back. He's TSBT. "Too stoned to ball". They go after Stu, but he declares he's looking for love. They go after Charlie and the other guy. This will be Charlie's #17.

Marcy gets bad news. The rabbit died. She doesn't want an abortion, but she doesn't want to be pregnant, either. She doesn't know who the father is. If she stays pregnant, she'll be a good mom.

Charlie's girl isn't lubricating, and it's not going well. It's not Charlie - it's the monkey. She can't do it with him watching, he's got that gleam in his eye. The monkey gets angry and starts flinging poo at them. It goes on to attack Charlie, biting him. When he throws the monkey, he kills it.

Charlie and the blond run downstairs and announce the death. He wants to take the corpse to a park and bury it, but Stu points out that the 'eye in the sky' already knows what happened, and how it happened. Charlie probably just single-handedly killed the project. He's practically crying, and Stu and Hank are hysterical with laughter.

Pearl's dad (Ben) lets himself in to pick up his daughter. He's taking pictures, including one of Karen. They introduce themselves, and he gives her her pic, saying "Not many people can say they actually have a picture of the exact moment they met someone for the first time."

Hank and Charlie go to fill Zig in, but they can't find him. When Hank goes to the bathroom, he finds Zig hanging on off the back of the bathroom door. Stu and Charlie freak while Hank stays calm. Stu tells Charlie and Hank he was never here, and heads out. They won't be making the movie, not without Zig's financing.

Security shows up because somebody hit the panic button - it was the blond. She runs out of the house screaming that Charlie is a murderer. Security uses a stun gun on him. Security dude turns out to be a little crazed so Hank punches him, knocking him out. Blond runs screaming back in the house.

Hank's attorney pulls up and he fills her in on the situation. She tells him they'll call 911, ask for a favor, make sure the press doesn't hear about it and they are set. She's proud of him for calling her, even if the rest of the evening was a total mess. She goes to make her calls and Hank goes to check on Charlie.

Charlie is blaming himself for the monkey's death. Charlie invites Hank to come in, because Karen is there. He refuses because she doesn't want to see him, but as Charlie points out, that's never stopped him before. He gets inside and sees Ben pushing Karen's hair back, and heads back out again.
