Recap

At sentencing, Hank refuses to throw himself on the mercy of the court. The only thing he's truly sorry for is embarrassing Becca and Karen. Everything else is just noise. He thanks her for her time, and holds up his fist and adds "Free the West Memphis Three!" The judge moves ahead. She tells Hank he lives like an animal who behaves in flagrant defiance of the rules of society. She has received many letters asking for leniency. His true crime, in her estimation, is his commitment to squandering his gifts. She comments on Becca, and says she is forced to consider what time without her father will do to her. She sentences him to three years...
