She tracks the phone down and finds her mother’s body in the sofa bed. At Richard Castle’s house, Alexis and Richard gawk at Martha’s ring that Chip gave to her when he proposed to her. She tells that she doesn’t know if he is the one that she wants to marry or not and Alexis tells that she doesn’t have to marry him. Richard gets a call for another case. He arrives at Vivien’s home and tells that he knew the victim and that he learned a lot from her being a medium and everything. Kate Beckett tells that she doesn’t believe in any of the Medium and Psychic stuff and she meets with Vivien’s daughter, Penny. They talk about what type of enemies that Vivian might have had and Beckett tells about the initials T.J. that were found in the calendar book. Penny doesn’t know what that means. At the home of Albert Moreno, Kate and Nick meet with him and he admits to meeting with Vivian and that he was up set about the fact that she told him to invest into something that turned out to be a flop. He says that he did not kill her and it turned out that Vivian was right when she told Albert that he would find true happiness because he met his soul mate. They exit and Richard is trying to get Kate to believe that Vivien knew what she was talking about when she told Albert to invest in that investment that flopped so that he could meet his soul mate. She tells that it is only coincidental. She tells that she doesn’t believe in any of that fairy tale stuff. They get back to the station and she tells that the alibi for Albert checks out, but her gut instinct is telling her different. Richard tells that Kate won’t believe in fairy tales but her gut has magical powers. Scully find out that Vivian did a lot of research on the people who she saw. Richard tells that she would have to do research because of different things that she has to do. Richard tells that he does research when he writes to make sure that it is accurate, but she tells that it is not psychic. He tells that it is but she blows him off and they leave.
Richard goes home to find Alexis and Martha playing on the Wedgie Board to communicate with the dead but Martha tells that she doesn’t need the spirits to tell her that it is over. Alexis thinks that she is jumping the gun and tells that love takes work. They tell that love is about romance and Alexis tells that they went back with the bad relationships. Back at the station, Richard asks about the status of Vivien’s “Dirty Dozen” list and he tells that Vivien was exaggerated her involvement in the police. But, Richard tells that police are not going to admit to hiring a psychic to the police investigations. She tells that it is just a coincident. In the examination room, the medical examiner tells that the ice-pick was brand new. He continues to say that there has to be no psychic ability there. Suddenly Esposito comes in and gives a letter that was in the mail outlining the prediction of Vivian’s murder by Vivian herself. However, Kate is unconvinced and tells that it is a coincidence as well. She tells that the killer has enough time to write the letter and to mail it off. Richard asks why she thinks that and Kate tells that they don’t even know that Vivien wrote them because it is not signed. Esposito tells that Vivien often didn’t sign her predictions. Steve Adams is out of prison and is carrying a grudge over the fact that Vivian put him away for killing his wife. They released him from prison with a tracking anklet. Kate sees that he was at Vivien’s place the time of the murder. Steve is brought in for questioning.

They sit down and Steve tells that he didn’t kill Vivian because when he got to her place, the no one answered the door. He tells that he pounded on the door. He tells that he contacted the reality show host of “You Ruined My Life” and they wanted to video tape when he was going to confront Vivien. Richard tells that some of the letter that Vivian wrote mentions a loud pounding from far away. She tells that it is still coincidental. Richard is at home when Martha walks in. She tells that she had a horrible day and tells that she went to go tells Jet that it is over and finds out that he had a stroke and he died. She spent all day and that the children told her that she was the love of Jet’s life. They have asked her to do the Eulogy and she doesn’t think they can. At the station, they watch the footage of Steve and Vivien yelling at each other and Penny comes into the station. Kate tells the officers to turn it off and says hello. Penny tells that she had a vision like her mom and tells that Kate is going to be saved by someone named Alexander and that she needs to stay close to him. She has no clue what to do.
Kate and Richard meet with Mr. Donnelly and he is pitching an idea to Richard when Kate walks in. Kate asks him about where he dropped off Steve and when. He tells that he did so and then got a call from Vivien herself. She told that if he buried the tape, she would let him film the killer up front. He gets the crew together and when he went to call her back, she didn’t answer. Richard and Kate brain storm and Scully comes in and says that the cab driver took them to a Nick and Toni Johnston. They arrive at the place and Toni answers the door. She starts to panic as if she already knows the news. They ask why Vivien came and visited Toni. She tells that she has an affair with her husband’s boss. Nick, Toni’s husband and that Vivien tells that the guy who she had the affair with Emilio Cassias. The autopsy file of Emilio Cassias shows that it could be Selenium. Too much of it could be poisonous. Kate and Richard start to build their hypothesis and feel that they have it right. Esposito tells that Nick left work early and they start to debunk the “theories” that Vivien had visions. Richard tells that the answers lie with Nick.

Kate and Richard meet with Nick and Kate tells that she is not dumb and that she knows there is more. Nick tells that he didn’t kill Emilio and that he only had a heart attack. Penny comes in and tells that she knows who murdered her mother. She tells that she had a vision of her mother who told that they need to ask the Masons. Kate tells the others to ignore him. They tell that a restaurant that the Cassias’ were at and it turns out that it is the Masons. They meet with the Cassias’ again and eventually get Mrs. Cassias’ to not only confess about the murder of Vivien, but also her husband for cheating on her. After getting the confession, Richard asks if it is possible the part of the prediction of the knocking from far away could have been Nick. He asks Kate what Penny meant by Alexander and he tells that his middle name is Alexander by birth and that he only changed recently. Martha and Richard get back from the funeral service and Martha tells that she is thankful that Richard wrote the Eulogy. She tells that she feels bad because of the entire false love that she shows Jet and Richard tells her to check the Wedgie Board and he messes with it and moves it to yes. She tells that she raised a wonderful son.
