Murder Most Fowl - Recap

The scene opens with bikers riding and one crashes next to a dead body. At Castle’s, Alexis is watching a rat for her boyfriend. Martha doesn’t like the rat and Castle goes to visit a dead body. Beckett and Castle go to the scene and Lanni tells them that the victim is Leonard Levitt and he has two gun shots in his back and one in his chest. Castle picks out a feather out of Leonard’s pocket and tells that it was over something involving birds. At the station, Ryan and Esposito tell about the fact that Leonard worked for the transit company. Castle and Beckett return to Lanni and she tells that the one gunshots in Leonard’s front were given from 150 feet. However, the two in the back are close range.

Ryan and Esposito go to investigate the home of Leonard and they find that he had a different life. Beckett and Castle talk about Leonard to Mr. Rivera, the manager, and he tells that it is horrible that Leonard got shot. He tells them to talk to Arthur Sansone. They go up to him and he is devastated. He tells that Leonard was a hero and that he fought for the installation of a system to shut down the tunnel lights whenever he was working on them to avoid electrocution. At the station, Ryan and Esposito pull up that Mr. Rivera was being investigated because Leonard called the transit tip line to tell that Rivera was selling old bulbs to Costa Rica. They bring him in and he tells that he is doing that but tells that he didn’t kill Leonard over it because he was working the whole night.

Esposito comes in and tells that Leonard had an appointment for BHS the day he was killed. They figure out that the initials stands for Byron H. Singer and tell that he bought the equipment for Leonard to spy. They meet with Bryan and he says that he saw Leonard is a liar. He tells that he saw Leonard and, what Castle and Beckett thinking, a lover. However, it was birds that Leonard was with. Bryan tells that he wants to be able to have on record that he found the birds first. Castle goes home and sees Martha on the coffee table and Alexis looking on the floor. She has lost her boyfriend’s rat. They look in the closet but don’t find the rat. Castle sees a camera and gets a good idea. Martha tells that she is going to check into a hotel as Castle leaves. He arrives at the park with Beckett and tells that Leonard was watching something and that he had to be in a tree to get a good view. They look up from a tree that had a fresh dip and they find that there is a camera. On the film, there are pictures of a man abducting a child. This just turned into a kidnapping case as well.

Beckett updates everyone else and tells them that they need to find the boy right away. Castle tells wonders if the parents were there and tells that he should have been in school somewhere. Ryan tells that he will go to work on doing so. Castle suggests that they enlarge a piece of the picture to see if there is a reflection in the mirror. Meanwhile, Esposito asks a vendor if he saw a car and he tells that it was a Blue Saturn and it was in his normal spot. They get to know the make of the car, but there are a lot. Ryan tells that the school records and other things are a no go too. Castle and Beckett look at the enhanced photos and they are no use as well. Castle recognizes the socks that the boy is wearing and tells that he plays for a soccer team. They look up the records and find out the boy’s name is Tyler Donegal and they have to find him out quick. Ryan comes up and tells that he is a janitor and that the divorce he had was bad. Esposito tells that Mr. Donegal has everything to lose.

Tyler’s mother tells that Dean never misses work when she comes in and is asked about her son and the fact that Dean missed work. Beckett asks her if Dean ever took Tyler to any hangouts and she tells that they didn’t go anywhere besides his cabin. After the interview, Castle tells that Alexis got lost one time and after a while, Montgomery tells that they didn’t find anything at Dean’s apartment. They get a hit on Dean’s credit card and find out that he bought a room for the night at a motel next to the cabin. They bust in and Dean tells that he is waiting for instructions from an unknown source to be able to get Tyler back. He tells that if he talks to the police, Tyler is dead.

They take him back to the station and they think that Dean is the one wanting to kidnap his son. He tells that he doesn’t know where Tyler is. Ryan enters and tells that his gun is a 9mm but it is the wrong gun. He tells that he wants his son back. His wife runs up and they start fighting about the whole thing and Montgomery tells that they are trying to find Tyler. He gets a text from the killer and it is a video. He tells that he shouldn’t forget to feed ACE. He gets another text for him to meet him on a steet, the same one that has elevator access to all the offices. Beckett tells that Dean should’t go, but Montgomery tells that they are fine. At the station, Beckett and Nick tells that ACE stands for a subway line. The last stop is Canal Street, the same place where Dane works. They find out that they are holding Tyler in the Subway tunnel.

The team goes with Dean to have him go through the motions to get access to the upper levels. As he gets on, two men with guns get on too. They go to the top really quick and they get onto the elevator too. Meanwhile, Beckett and Castel see where they are hiding Tyler and they barge in and get the boy out. With Dean’s situation, they start to take the elevator down and they are stopped on the Lobby because of Montgomery and his team. They arrest everyone and at the station, Castle tells that the crooks took the financial files from the office and then tried to escape with them through the Subway. Back at the house, Alexis’s boyfriend comes back and she tells that she lost his pet rat. He tells that he doesn’t care and only cares about her. At the very end, Martha screams and Castle tells that he found the rat.
