<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens with Federal Agent Fallon telling that the bomb is at another location to someone on the phone. Fallon tells that they need to close in on Jamal. Meanwhile, Castle and Beckett are in the storage unit and they have no signal on their phones. Beckett tries to knock open the door and Castle tells that it is no use. Beckett tells that they have to try. Martha and Alexis get home because Alexis was panicking that she didn’t want to go to the “spiritual retreat”. She sees that there is a projection screen up, but Castle is not there. She tells that he always leaves a note if he is going out. Martha tells that they will deal with it in the morning. Back in the storage unit, Castle tells that they only have a few hours before they freeze to death and Beckett tries to shoot the door. However, that only resulted in backfire and she tells that she doesn’t know what to do. She wipes her forehead to find icicles forming.

At the station, Ryan gets the idea that Beckett and Castle could be right and gets a call from someone. Meanwhile, Fallon tells Montgomery that a dirty bomb is worse than a real bomb because the kill zone is big, but it is the outer zones that show no sign of radiation until it is in their children. Ryan comes up to Montgomery and asks to talk to him alone. Ryan tells that Alexis called and told that Castle didn’t come home last night and they called Beckett and she is not picking up her phone. Montgomery blows it off and tells that they have bigger things to worry about. In the storage unit, Beckett and Castle are freezing and she tells that she is happy that he has always been there for her. Beckett closes her eyes and her hand goes limp. Castle tries to wake her, but is too cold too. His head rests on hers and he closes his eyes. A little bit later, Castle opens his eyes and sees two people come into the storage unit and grab them. Castle wakes up in a paramedic’s van and Josh, Beckett’s boyfriend, is there. Castle asks about Beckett and he tells that she is fine. Ryan and Esposito are there and they tell that they were on the right track.

He gets out of the van and walks up to Beckett. She tells that she and Josh are going to have a chance since he is there. Fallon asks how they knew to come there and they tell that McCann is the person that they were following and that he is the only taxi driver that was going to the same places as Admir. Beckett asks if they can be reinstated on the case and Fallon tells them to get cleared by the doctor first. Beckett walks over to Josh and Fallon tells Castle that he thought that Castle and Beckett were a couple and Castle tells that they are just good friends. Castle gets home to meet two worried women waiting. He tells that they have to go to the Hamptons for the weekend and not to ask questions. He tells that and “event” is going to most likely happen. Alexis tries to call Ashley, her boyfriend, but Castle tells that they can’t tell anyone because it will cause a panic. They listen and leave. Castle gets to the station and gives Beckett coffee as usual. He asks her how Fallon must feel having to deal with this kind of thing every day. Esposito calls and the address that they have on Kevin McCann is fake. He tells that the neighbors tell that there was a McCann family lived there with a small son named Kevin who went into the military.

Fallon looks up his McCann’s record and realizes that the Kevin McCann who drove taxis, is not really Kevin McCann. They look at the board and Castle asks why he would steal McCann’s identity. There has to be something that they are missing and McCann is someone who the cab driver knew. Esposito tells that McCann has a sister living in Manhattan. They go to her home and she ID’s the cab driver as Radford Hayes. She tells that they were friends and that he served in McCann’s unit. He had drinks with her after McCann died and Hayes told her that the government is sending in untrained soldiers and are only caring about their own reelections and other useless things. He told her that America needed another wake up call and that should do the trick. They ask where he is and she tells that she doesn’t know, but she has his cell phone. At the station, they try to get a location on him. Castle tells that he understands Radford’s anger, but doesn’t agree with what he is doing. The dirty bomb is going off in 4 hours and they get the location.

They go to where Hayes is and he sees Fallon and runs. He is stopped and arrested. In the station, Fallon and Beckett go inside the interrogation room and question Hayes. However he is not confessing. Esposito tells that Hayes is Special Forces and they are trained for this and he is not going to tell anything. Fallon tells Hayes is going to be called a mass murderer. Hayes tells that when the bomb goes off, there is nothing that is going to tie him to it. They are not getting through to him and Fallon shoves the table at him and knocks Hayes over. He asks where the bomb is and he is not talking. Fallon pulls his gun on him and Beckett tells Fallon to put down his weapon. Hayes tells that he is ready to die for his country. Fallon lowers his weapon. Fallon tells that Hayes was in no real danger and tells that his weapon wasn’t loaded. He tells that they are back to square one and need his help. Ryan comes up and tells that Fallon’s wife was killed on 9/11. Beckett tells that if they don’t get Hayes to talk they are dead in the water, but Castle has an idea. He tells that Nazihah, Admir’s wife, needs to be talked to. Beckett and Castle go to Nazihah’s house and find that Fallon’s surveillance guy has been shot. They enter the house to find a note. Nazihah is the new terrorist that they are going to frame for the mass murder.

They go back to the station and tell that they need the traffic cams, but they don’t have that much time. Esposito tells that he looked for soldiers that were in Hayes’s unit and Evan Bower and Jack Cochran are the only two that are back. Their wives tell that they are on a fishing trip. Fallon tells that they need to get a location. Fallon tells that they are not going to find anything and tells that they are running out of time. Castle gives Fallon the card of Fariq Yusef, the Syrian head of security. Fallon tells him to call. Meanwhile Bower and Cochran have Nazihah and tell that she is to drive the van, get out and walk away. If she does this, they will give the baby to her. They tell her that there are cameras on the front, so she better not try anything. Fariq comes into the station and gets his pistol back. He tells that it is in their best interests to get this matter resolved. He tells that they might want to check an old brick building for their information.

A team sweeps in and shoots Bower and Cochran. They see Nazihah in the van driving. Fallon talks to the two former soldiers and tells that they have a location because Fallon lied and told that Hayes made a deal and accused them. Beckett and Castle race to find Nazihah and the van and Castle tells that she needs to take a different route because of the fact that Broadway is crowded. She listens to him and finds the van. Beckett gets in front of the van and forces Nazihah to stop. She tells that they have her baby and that everything is fine. They have the bomb and it is set to go off in 2 minutes. They call dispatch and she tells that a Bomb Squad will be there in 3 minutes. They don’t have time. Beckett calls Fallon and asks if he knows how to diffuse a bomb and she sends pictures. He tells that he can’t with only 1 second remaining, Castle pulls all of them and the bomb is disconnected.

At the station, Beckett talks about what happened and they laugh about it now and Montgomery tells that the Mayor wants to give them a medal and Esposito tells that they don’t know how lucky they are and Castle looks at Beckett and tells that he knows. Fallon comes in and tells that all men are being charged with multiple counts of committing terror and thanks to them, mass murder is not tacked on to it. Beckett tells that she was just doing her job and for Castle, she doesn’t know what he did it for. Fallon tells that he is not the same off the job than on the job. Beckett tells that it was a good experience and hopefully, will never have to do it again. Castle talks to Beckett and is about to tell how he really feels, but once again, doesn’t. He gets on the elevator and watches as Josh comes up to Beckett and gives her a hug.
