In the season finale, an interview with a high-profile federal law enforcement agency forces Beckett to reconsider what she wants out of her job and out of her relationship with Castle. Meanwhile, the body of a young woman is found floating inside the water tank of a skid row flop house, but as the team investigate, they discover that her final resting place is just one of many strange things about her death.

A man goes to check the water tank and finds a dead body floating in the tank. Kate is in DC for an interviewing at the Attorney General’s office. She tells him that there was a man who was spotted fleeing the scene in his car, but there are no leads as of now. They flirt for a while. Kate receives a call from work and she is informed that they got a hit on the plates from the traffic camera footage. She leaves for work. Castle and Kate meet Ryan, who tells them that the car belonged to a man named, Archibald Fosse. Fosse killed his bookie with a car bomb, six years ago. At home, Castle notices that food has been disappearing from the fridge. He suspects the maid. Martha tells him that the maid hasn’t been coming for the past three days. Castle is determined to find out who has been stealing food. He tells Kate that he is going to take bold steps to put a stop to this.
