After 2 minutes of watching this serie, it is obvious that the "Cavemens" are obviously afro-americans.
To get straight to the point, this is a satyre made by afros whining about their representation in a white governed society, portrayed as decadent smug trash.
This could have been funny, but after a few minutes, you get the general aparteid theme, and it is rapidly getting annoying.
I hope the network will remove this piece of crap as soon as possible.
I watched the pilot with some black friend in my hood, and they were so pissed at the actors that they almost trashed the computer yelling "foking heck we'r not god damn monkey! this is a KKK recruiting video..."
Need any more proofs? just watch it by yourself.

The producers have come out and said that it's NOT about that, but seems a bit defensive on their part. I am sure there will be a part of the population that sees it that way, and those producers will be defending themselves a whole lot more.
OR... it'll be canceled just because it was a stupid idea to build a show on in the first place.
We'll see. |

Really what shock me the most is that they look like Klingons, and the Empire (see any picture of Worf, and look at the splitted mustach) will not glady accept this outrage

I gave this show an honest chance, and it was...well, probably as terrible as you'd imagine it to be. I actually might have laughed once, but it's all a blur. I think it's safe to say I'll never see another episode of this show ever again.
And I also saw it as having some racial correlations, FC3, but I think that's to be expected from a show dealing with cavemen being discriminated against. It's not like the characters threw out black stereotypes; they made more generalized comments about not fitting in that could really be attributed to any minority. My God, why am I defending this show?
P.S. It sounds like your friend could use some anger management classes. |

the show looked awful the moment i saw the commercials (of the series, not geicko commercials) so i definitely won't be watching, and i highly doubt it will last one season. it just doesn't seem like it could hold its on as a series, but that didnt stop George Lopez
anyway Its a show about cavemen, albeit a pathetic excuse of a sitcom that seems only suitable for ABC, but that's what it's all about, relax. to me, from the commercials (of the series, not the geico commercial) they don't seem afro-american, rather they seem not of any race.

Networks do it all the time. I still don't understand why reality shows are on the air.

As I said before, reality shows are much cheaper to produce. That gives them extra money for the higher budgeted series. Cops only has a few cameramen and production people whereas Heroes has cast, crew, locations, props and special effects to contend with. |
