After hearing a series of excuses from Nick about not paying rent, Joel gets him a job at the home improvement center. When Nick is fired, he assumes it's because he's a caveman and files a lawsuit. Meanwhile, Andy ends up scaring a woman when he tries to prove he's not scary.
Joel, Nick and Andy get caught up in the latest fad, Fruitberry, a frozen yogurt shop. Though Nick is reluctant to go with Joel and Andy to the shop, he falls for the hot cavewoman that works there. Meanwhile, Kate and Joel's relationship hits a rough patch when a cavewoman insults Kate and Joel doesn't defend her.
When Nick lands a job as a substitute teacher, he discovers that the school's mascot is offensive to cavemen so he works to have it changed. Andy finally gets a job when Leslie hires him as a personal accountant. However, Andy is torn when he discovers some shady financial practices Leslie is taking part in.
Joel makes a new Homo Sapien friend, but Nick suspects he's a caveman trying to pass himself off as human. Meanwhile, Andy reveals a dark side to himself... which Thorne finds sexy.
With the election nearing, Joel and Nick try to sway Andy's vote -- one candidate is a caveman while one is a Homo sapien. Thorne tries to get Andy to buy a gun after the apartment is broken into.
