Great original idea made into an entertaining showRating: 1 likes, 0 dislikes
Possibly the best show on MTV. It premiered around 1999 and is still one of my favorite shows ever. It's hard to believe that they only released one measley DVD (Greatest Hits) for one of the most popular shows ever.

This show has it all, an interactive audience, it's gory, it's funny, it pokes fun at celebrities, and it answers the question "who would win a fight if such and celebrity fought"?

The idea sounds idiotic but it was executed to genius. This show is a great example of the 90's became more hip, and intelligent. Of the top of my head my favorite fights are Mark McGwire vs. Sammy Sosa, Jack Nicholson vs. Leonardo Dicapricio, Al Pacino vs. Robert Deniro and from Celebrity Deathmatch International: Bono vs. Fabio vs. Yoko Ono complete with a hilarious "press conference".

Aside from the fights themselves the writers and creator really do seem to capture very well the personalities of every celebrity to make their mocking that much more realistic.

Again, I'am still baffled that only one DVD was realesed. If MTV or whoever has the rights had half a brain, they would release all the seasons on DVD (and make a killing at it).
