Crazy Love - Recap

The scene opens with a man driving a woman home. The woman worries her dad is going to be upset that she is out late. The man says that he will wait for her. The girl’s dad comes out and starts yelling about how his 16-year-old daughter is dating an older man. He tells the man that he has called the police and that he is going to charge him with statutory rape. However, the man tells the girl to get into the car and the man goes inside and shoots the girl’s father. He goes back outside and drives off. Meanwhile at headquarters, Luke tells Annie that he can’t stop thinking of Carson Puckett, the man who he had to kill. She says that he shouldn’t dwell on it too much. She says that the people they have to kill are bad people and they deserve every punishment they get. Jimmy comes in and tells that Jackson Cooper, the man from earlier, took Carina, the girl, and drove off. Annie tells that she is going to talk to friends of Carina to make sure that she is not with Jackson on this.

Meanwhile, Jackson tells that Carina’s father is going to fine without her there. Back at headquarters, Annie and Luke have Carina’s best friend Hazel Clemmons there and she says that Jackson first flirted with Carina at the mall. Carina said that she always wanted to drive off to California. However, Jackson cheered her up and squashed the idea. Carina’s father, Allen, never liked Jackson and he took Carina’s cell phone away. She tells that Carina has a blog that she updates twice a day. Annie tells that she has to track the cell phone down and talk to Jackson’s roommates. Later, the team goes to Jackson’s apartment and the roommates are there. They all tell that Jackson is a loser that picks up teens from the mall. They also tell that he always spits sunflower seeds everywhere. They tell that he drives a used BMW. Meanwhile, Carina uses her phone and updates her blog. In the gas station bathroom, Jackson beats up a random guy and takes his wallet and car keys. He comes out and tells Carina that he “traded” his car. Carina believes him and they take off in the new convertible. Jackson takes her cell phone and says that she doesn’t need it because the cops are going to be able to track it.

Back at the station, Annie reads Carina’s blog updates and the entries are detailed. She comments on her blog as Annie5Star and says that her mother died too. Daisy comes into the station and says that Jackson’s vehicle has been spotted at a gas station. They get there and find that the man that Jackson beat up is dead and that the man’s car and wallet are gone. Luke says that Jackson bought a scenic back roads map and that he destroyed Carina’s phone. Meanwhile at a tattoo shop, Jackson and Carina get matching sun and moon tattoos. The tattoo artist starts to flirt with Carina and Jackson tells Carina to wait in the car. While in the car, Carina finds a cell phone and posts a picture of her tattoo on her blog. She hides it as Jackson comes up. Annie looks at Carina’s blog and sees the post of the tattoo. She sees that Carina replied to Annie’s reply. Luke comes in and says that Jackson has a record of statutory rape and that one victim was never found. Marco comes in with the news that a tattoo artist was assaulted by Jackson. Meanwhile, Jackson decides to give Carina a driving lesson, but she crashes the car. However, Jackson doesn’t get angry with her, but picks up a rock and smashes the windshield. Jackson finds out that Carina has been talking with Annie and he smashes the phone and signals a motorist.

Later the team finds the destroyed cell phone and convertible. At a bar, Jackson says that he is sorry for losing his temper and proposes to Carina. She says yes. They celebrate over drinks, but the bartender says that he is not going to serve to Carina after she is drunk. Jackson holds up the bartender and steals his keys and money. Jackson and the bartender fight and Jackson runs off with a wound. Jimmy tells about the bartender shooting Jackson and says that they are headed to Flagstaff. Annie realizes that Flagstaff is where Jackson’s statutory rape victims, Rachel Hendricks, lives there. They find out that she was a paramedic and they figure out that Jackson is going to try and get medical attention. Meanwhile, Jackson and Carina drive up to Rachel’s house and Jackson tells Carina to wait in the car. However, she doesn’t listen and she sees Rachel fixing the wound and sees that she has a little boy and that Rachel has the same matching moon tattoo. They leave and later, Jimmy questions Rachel. She says that Jackson threatened to hurt their son if she didn’t. On the road, Jackson tells that Rachel doesn’t mean anything to him. Carina says that she wants to go back to her day. Jackson laughs and Carina realizes that they are headed to Mexico and not California and that Jackson might have hurt her father.

They drive up to a payphone and Jackson says that she can call her father. Annie intercepts the call and tells that her name is Annie5Star and tells that Carina is in danger. She says that Carina is getting taken to Mexico, but Jackson grabs the phone and hangs it up. Later at the Mexico/U.S. border, the team talk to a man who Jackson paid to take them over the border. He says that Carina was wearing a baseball cap and Annie sees Jackson shuttle Carina across the border. Marco stops Annie from persuing and says that Marshalls don’t have authority in Mexico. Back at the office, Annie is upset for losing Carina. Annie gets a text from Carina that says “Help Me”. Annie goes to Fernando Aguilar, an old friend, and says that she needs to get to Jackson and Carina. Fernando says that she can, but it is his men that make the arrest. He tells her that they are in a hotel.

Meanwhile, Jackson tells that they are going to settle down in Mexico on the beach. Carina pretends to be excited and tells that she left her purse in the hotel. As Carina walks off, Jackson sees that her purse is in the car and realizes that she lied to him. He runs after her, but Annie is there. She tells that she can’t arrest him, but Fernando is there and his team makes the arrest. Fernando tells Annie that they are going to keep him for a couple of weeks and then he will be extradited to the U.S. and be charged with murder. Annie says goodbye to Carina and later, she reads Carina’s blog. She remembers the death of her own mother and the episode ends.
