<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens in Harris County Jail where a woman visits a Chris Novak, a man who was put in prison for robbing a jewelry store. The woman is Tia Archer and she has bad news. She says that she doesn’t have enough to bail Chris out. He asks about his friend Donnie and she tells that he is broke too. Chris tells Tia that he will get out of jail soon, one way or another. Meanwhile, Annie meets Luke and they go into the Harris County Courthouse. A deputy named Trevor gets them through the security and he says that he has always wanted to join the Marshalls. Annie says that she can help him get there, but Luke crashes his dreams and says that applying to the Marshalls would be a mistake. Meanwhile in the jail, Chris attacks a guard and escapes out of prison. Annie asks Luke why he had to crush Trevor’s dreams and asks Luke himself if he has a problem being a Marshall. He says that he does and says that he doesn’t feel like part of the team. Suddenly there are gunshots. Annie runs to the sound and finds that Trevor has been shot. Chris and another inmate have escaped.

At headquarters, Jimmy tells Daisy that he and Natalie had dinner late so that they can accommodate to his change in work. He teases her with her fling with Luke. Marco comes into the conversation and says that there has been a prison escape. Annie and Luke watch the break out in a café on the TV. They hear that Chris took off out the back door and that he was with another inmate, Terry Powell, and that they ran off in separate directions. Annie and Luke find Chris in a parking lot and they are about to take him down, but Luke’s cell phone rings. Chris gets alerted and takes a woman hostage in the process. Chris drives off with the woman, but Luke shoots out the tires as they drive off. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Marco catch Terry and he turns himself in and says that he was the victim and that Chris is the one who told him to go with it. Annie and a team of police officers find Chris at the end of a dark alley. The police tell that they can’t get a clear shot and Chris takes the woman’s cell phone and goes to a nearby Hotel. Cops search it and Daisy calls Annie. She tells that Chris has priors, but nothing serious. She says that something must have triggered him. Daisy tells Annie that Trevor died. Meanwhile, Jimmy talks to Terry and Terry says that he doesn’t know anything on Chris, but says that he wouldn’t ever tell where he is even if he did know where Chris would be.

Chris goes into a hotel room and sees a window washer outside. In the alley, Annie talks to Officer Stearns, the officer who arrested Chris after the robbery. Stearns says that he picked him up after an anonymous tip. He says that he never got the identity of the caller. Annie and Luke hear that Chris has been spotted in a hotel room. They arrive the and the room’s owner and a window washer is found dead. Annie starts to realize that they are not going to catch Chris. Meanwhile, Chris gets on a bus and it drives off. Later, Daisy calls up Annie and says that Chris used cell phones that he stole to call a man by the name of Donnie Green. She says that Donnie and Chris are friends and that they committed several crimes together back in the day. Donnie wasn’t involved in the jewelry robbery and Jimmy and Marco head over to question Donnie’s dad, Ed. He tells that Donnie is friends with Chris and his girlfriend, Tia. He tells that if they have any questions for them, she should be at the batting cages. It is one of their favorite hangouts. On the other side of town, Annie and Luke find Chris, but he steals a passenger’s coat and disappears again. Meanwhile at the batting cages, Chris meets up with Donnie and he says that he has a car for Chris and that he managed to get some money together. However, Chris sees right through him and beats him with a baseball bat. Annie and Jimmy get to the batting cages and see Donnie’s body. They are too late.

Annie realizes that Donnie was the “anonymous tip” that Officer Stearns was talking about and that Donnie even stole his girlfriend Tia from him. She finds that Chris knows because Chris used Donnie’s phone and texted Tia “I love you” to which she texted back “I love you too”. Annie tells the team that they need to get to Tia before Chris does. She finds out that Tia is a nurse’s aid at a medical center. Jimmy starts to panic because Natalie works for the same medical center. Jimmy rushes off with Annie and the team to the medical center and waits outside. Inside the medical center, Chris grabs Tia and asks why she betrayed him with Donnie. Outside, Annie keeps trying to call Tia, but no one is answering. They go inside the hospital to find Tia crying in a closet. She says that Chris took her badge and could be anywhere in the hospital. Annie bumps into Natalie while evacuating the hospital. She tells that Jimmy is looking for her. Natalie tells Annie that Chris might have taken the elevator to where the morgue is. She goes down there and Chris leaps out and starts to choke Annie. They continue to fight until Annie lets Luke in and he points a gun to Chris’s head.

Jimmy finds Natalie and tells that he is relieved. They hug and are happy that both are alright. Outside, the police take Chris in a patrol car back to the jail. Annie meets with Jimmy and Natalie and they make plans to meet up for lunch, but Annie tells that she has to take care of something first. Annie walks up to Luke and gives him a challenge coin, a sign that Luke is part of the team. She jokes with him and tells Luke that he should invite Daisy to lunch with them and teases by telling him that he’s got her number. Luke realizes that their little romance is not secret as they thought and the episode ends.
