Narco (1) - Recap

The scene opens with Annie and her team hiding outside of a mansion. A “Quinceanera” is taking place and Pablo Cordova talks about how he is proud of Eva, his niece. He manages to also charm his wife, Isabella, his son, Pablo, and Isabella’s sister, Maria. Annie and the team bust inside and tell that they tell that they have a warrant for the arrest of Pablo. As they take Pablo away, Isabella is socked. Two months later and Max, an attendee of the “Quinceanera” is talking to U.S. Marshall Agent, Alex Harding. He was the one that told that Pablo is a drug kingpin and is still giving information. However, Hector Torres, Pablo’s friend, and Isabella burst inside the room and kill Alex. They take Max and set him on fire. Meanwhile, Marco is having a barbeque and Jimmy talks to DEA Agent, Felix Perez, about how Pablo’s trial is finally happening. Marco walks up and starts to hang out. In the past, Marco and Perez were friends. Across the yard, Annie is talking to Natalie, Jimmy’s girlfriend. She tells that she is going propose to Jimmy. A moment later, Natalie asks Jimmy. However, they are interrupted when they find out that Isabella and Hector killed Max, the only witness in the case.

Later, Perez feels that the Marshals tipped off Isabella and Max, but Annie defends her team and says that it is not true. He and Assistant U.S. Attorney, Dan O’Neil, explain the entire Cordova case to the team members. They tell that Isabella killed Max so that she could send a message to the other drug cartels. Isabella is the boss for now. Annie tells that they need to get Isabella and force her to tell who the leak is. Isabella’s son, Mathew, and sister, Maria, are the main people that Annie needs to talk to. Meanwhile at a flower shop, Isabella is with her son and she asks him to collect his belongings. She is about to leave and asks Maria for a favor. When Annie shows up, Maria won’t tell anything about Isabella. Annie tells that she can arrest Maria as an accessory to murder and Annie sees that Maria has traded her car for Isabella’s. On the road, Isabella and Mathew are stopped by an Officer Tillman. She makes a phone call and Tillman’s phone rings. She tells that he better answer it. He does and then decides to let Isabella and Mathew go free.

Tillman is at H.E.A.T. and Annie asks why he let them go. He tells that he got a call from a mysterious caller telling that they will murder his wife and children. Annie makes the case Top Secret since someone is leaking information out. Annie realizes that Pablo Cordova is going to be released since they have no case, but feel that it is best because he can lead them to Isabella. Meanwhile, Perez and Marco talk and he shows a surveillance photograph of Cordova talking to a Jose Sanchez. Marco recognizes Sanchez from when he was an undercover agent. He tells that he is going to get Sanchez to talk. Later at a hearing, Cordova is just about to have his case dismissed, but Perez comes in and tells that they have a new witness. There is a 48-hour continuance of the trial. Annie tells Pablo that she is on Isabella’s tail and he tells that if anything happens to Isabella, he will hold Annie responsible. She looks at him unafraid. Marco is interrogating Sanchez. He tries to threaten him that he is going to tell Cordova about his past snitching unless he tells about Cordova’s drug trade. Sanchez gives what Marco wants and tells that Cordova is using the centers to be hidden by nerby ranches. He tells that one has a landing strip for planes. Meanwhile, Isabella is at the ranch and tells Mathew to get on the plane. Mathew finally sees that his father is a drug dealer. As Isabella walks away, she gets a call telling her that there is another witness. Annie and her team arrive there and stop the plane, but Isabella is not there.

Afterward, Annie tries to talk to Mathew, but he is not talking. Annie sees that Mathew has a fake passport and a lot of stolen money and arrests him for obstruction of justice. She takes his cell phone and tells that Isabella is going to call to make sure that Mathew had landed safely. At H.E.A.T., Daisy enlists Brian, a technition who is working on the Cordova case, for help and he tells that Mathew’s cell phone range and the call came from an intersection in Sugarland. Daisy runs off thanking Brian along the way. Meanwhile on the intersection of Sugarland, Isabella and Hector are watching a black SUV get the witness. Isabella presses a button and the SUV explodes. She walks up to see the body of who was ratting out Pablo and it is Maria, her sister. She struggles to stay alive and tells that she ratted out Pablo because Max and she were going to have a baby together. Once Maria knew that Pablo killed Max, she hated him. Isabella shoots her sister without forethought. Annie and her team arrive after the incident and realizes that someone is still tipping Isabella off. Marco blames Agent Perez. He laughs and tells Marco to then shoot him. Marco attacks him and later tells Jimmy that Perez was talking about the past when he had to kill his partner who was a leak in the department. He walks away. Meanwhile, Isabella is at the airport and is buying a ticket to Santo Domingo.

Back at the scene of the crime, Annie still doesn’t think that Perez is the leak. She sees that a tracking device is inside Perez’s suitcase and realizes that Assistant U.S. Attorney Dan O’Neil had used Perez to lead him to the new witness that came up. O’Neil is the rat and he gave all the information to Isabella. Annie walks into O’Neil’s office and arrests him. She uses O’Neil’s phone and calls Isabella. She tells that they have Mathew and that he is going to suffer the death penalty unless she takes his place. Cordova’s lawyer tells that the witness “disappeared” and that Pablo will be going free. Marco interrupts the celebration and enters with Mathew handcuffed. He tells that Mathew is being charged with accessory to murder. Isabella pulls up outside the courtroom and tells that she will take Mathew’s place. Suddenly men disguised as the press, shoot and Annie is shot, but of course she has a vest. However, Isabella and Mathew are not that lucky and are dead. Pablo blames Annie for their death.

Later that evening, Jimmy checks to see if Annie is alright and he tells that the gunmen were the rival Satevo drug cartel and that Annie is still in danger. And tells that she is fine, but Jimmy reminds her that Pablo threatened her. She tells that she will be fine. Everyone leaves for the day and Marco looks at the partner that he had to kill for being a rat in the department before H.E.A.T. Jimmy gets home and Natalie puts on the engagement ring that he got her. However, for Annie, she stops at an intersection and an SUV comes up and Hector and a group of men grab Annie. They tie her up and put tape over her mouth.
