Episode Notes
This episode served as the pilot for the Warner Brothers western series The Dakotas even though it aired under the Cheyenne name in its timeslot. Clint Walker does not appear in the episode.

Larry Ward, Jack Elam, Chad Everett, and Mike Greene would all star in The Dakotas which, ironically, would replace Cheyenne in the ABC lineup beginning in January of 1963.
