Due to her many successes in the kitchen, Ms. Endive has decided to allow Panini to cook a dish all on her own. When Chowder learns of this, he decides to pressure Mung Daal into letting him cook his own dish, as Mung hates Ms. Endive and he doesn’t want to allow her apprentice to be more successful than his apprentice. However, when Chowder fails to make the dish properly, Mung must try to prevent people from eating the contaminated dish, all the while trying not to hurt the feelings of his young apprentice.
Today is Fivesday, the day when working residents of Marzipan City receive payment for their laborious duties. However, when Shnitzel receives his check and prepares to leave for the bank in order to deposit it, Mung Daal recommends that he take Chowder with him, so that he can start his own savings account. Much to Shnitzel’s dismay, he takes Chowder and the two of them head for the bank, though as Shnitzel’s all too aware of, time at the bank can be anything but well spent.
Mung Daal’s Catering has just received an order for an extremely difficult dish, a Froggy Apple Crumple Thumpkin. Mung Daal hasn’t made the dish in over several hundred years, and since it’s an advanced level dish, he decides to allow his young apprentice to help him out, so that he may learn as much as he possibly can. However, the recipe for a Froggy Apple Crumple Thumpkin is extremely long and complicated, so Mung knows that it’s going to take a lot of hard work in order to make the customer happy.
While out shopping for ingredients, Mung Daal and Chowder encounter Ms. Endive, Mung’s personal rival and all-time nemesis, as well as her young apprentice, Panini. However, when Panini takes notice of Chowder, she falls deeply in love with him, much to his chagrin. To make matters worse, she has proclaimed them to officially be boyfriend and girlfriend and she wants to do things that he dislikes, such as hold hands. Now, Chowder must find a way to break up with Panini, preferably without being too mean to her.
Chowder loves to chew on grubble gum, which is the reason he has decided to purchase some. In order to prevent any problems, he decides to purchase an extra piece so that he can give it to Truffles, as he knows that bad things usually happen to those who don’t share gum with her. However, when he accidentally chews all of the gum, he decides to swallow it in order to prevent Truffles from realizing what happened. Little did he know, however, that swallowing grubble gum results in many odd side affects, and now he must employ the help of Mung Daal and Shnitzel in order to help hide his secret from Truffles, lest he be forced to pay the consequences.
Mung Daal’s Catering is working on an order of dumplings, though as they soon discover, the dumplings are too large for the package that it’s supposed to be delivered in. However, Mung Daal has a secret ingredient: cinnamini powder! Just a sprinkle of the stuff will shrink the dumplings down to size, but when it triggers Shnitzel’s allergies, the entire contents of the vial are blown away. Now, Mung Daal, Shnitzel and Chowder must venture deep into the depths of Marzipan City in order to find a cinnamini tree, though what they discover puts all of them in jeopardy.
Mung Daal has always been an accomplished chef, and to prove this point, he hangs his official certifrycate on the wall of his kitchen. However, when a member of the Expired Certifrycation Enforcement Agency lets him know that his certifrycate is expired, Mung Daal’s Catering is shut down. In order to get his business back, Mung Daal and Chowder head to Reuben’s School of Certifrycation, where they’ll have to toe-the-line in order to get their lives back on track. However, as the two soon learn, the certifrycation process is nothing to sneeze at.
Mung Daal’s Catering has been commissioned to cook a very important dish: a bunch of sing beans. These beans are scheduled to perform in one of Marzipan City’s theaters, but what makes the process so difficult is that the dish requires those who are cooking it to stay up all night, as the temperature needs to be kept at the right level. In order to make the long hours seem more entertaining, Mung Daal, Shnitzel and Chowder decide to all stay up together, though things don’t go as they had planned.
Mung Daal’s Catering has just prepared a roast moast, and both Mung Daal and Chowder must deliver it to the customer in order to receive their payment. However, when Chowder consumes the map, they must rely on their gut instincts in order to get their job done. However, when they find themselves in an unfamiliar and run-down part of Marzipan City, they realize that the delivery may be more troublesome than usual.
Mung Daal’s Catering has just prepared a roast moast, and Shnitzel has been tasked to clean up the mess while the order is being delivered. However, when a man with poor eyesight crashes into the building, Truffles assumes that he was the customer and she tells Shnitzel to keep an eye on him until her husband can bring the roast moast back. Little do they know, however, that the man is being pursued by the police, as his poor eyesight has lead to many mishaps
It’s game night at Mung Daal’s Catering and Truffles has invited her friends over in order to play a game of mahjongg. However, when Chowder learns that some delicious treats have been prepared as snacks for the ladies, he decides that he must do whatever he can to obtain and consume one of them. He’ll have to be careful, though, as Truffles takes her mahjongg seriously, and will commit unspeakable horrors should his antics interrupt her game.
Chowder loves his pet, Kimchi, though most people in Marzipan City believe that the stink cloud is nothing but a stinky menace. Despite this fact, Mung Daal has allowed Chowder to keep him in the residential quarters of Mung Daal’s Catering, but when Kimchi falls in love with a dish, and takes it away, Mung Daal’s patience finally snaps. Now, the old chef will have to find a way to get the dish back, even if it means breaking Kimchi’s heart.
Mung Daal is frustrated due to Chowder’s obsession with thrice cream, as he routinely takes breaks in order to devour as much of the stuff as possible. To make matters worse, this has started to affect his performance in the kitchen, as he isn’t paying attention to what needs to be done. In hopes of helping his young apprentice overcome this problem, Mung Daal has decided to create a living creature out of thrice cream, but will he be able to make Chowder sick of the stuff?
Truffles has recently realized that she is fat, which has sent her spiraling into depression. However, when she blames Mung Daal for making her fat, due to his selection of dishes, she forces everybody at Mung Daal’s Catering to go on a flibber-flabber diet. In order to give her extra motivation, she also decides to hold a contest to see who can lose the weight the quickest; there’s just one problem: flibber-flabber is one of the foulest dishes in the world. Now, Mung Daal must try to find a way to help his wife lose weight, lest he’ll be forced to keep eating the stuff.
Chowder discovered that he has horrible penmanship, which is a problem, as the writing of a chef needs to be legible. In hopes of overcoming his problem, Chowder decided to practice, but he changed his plan when he learned that Gazpacho was going to perform at a local comedy club. Chowder decided to help his friend by writing down his jokes for him, as he would be able to do a good deed and practice writing at the same time, but will he overcome his dyslexia?
Marzipan City is hosting its annual “Taste Of Marzipan” festival, where chefs from all across the world can come and show off their best dishes, while regular citizens are taste and rate those dishes. However, when Mung Daal and Ms. Endive realize that they both had prepared the same dish, they decide to prove that their dish is more superior, even if it requires drastic and unorthodox measures.
Mung Daal’s Catering has been commissioned to create another dish, though this one required an ingredient that is very dangerous. However, when Chowder consumes that ingredient, he gets sucked into his own mouth and is enslaved by the puckerberry overlords. Now, Chowder must try to find a way to save his taste buds and get back to the real world, lest he’ll never be able to eat again.
Mung Daal’s Catering has been commissioned to create a dish that requires the juice from an elemelon. However, when Truffles insults the elemelons due the them waking her up, the elemelons go on strike and refuse to be juiced. In order to resolve his problem, Mung Daal has decided to lock Truffles in the cage so that she will be forced to resolve their differences and get the juice, but will she succeed?
When Mung Daal realizes that Chowder is antisocial, he decides to take him to the local park so that he can play a game of sniffleball with the other children in the neighborhood. However, Chowder’s reluctance to participate soon proves to be a challenge, especially due to the fact that Gorgonzola and Panini are both playing the game as well.
Mung Daal’s Catering is in need of a particular fish that is required to make a dish, so Mung Daal takes the boys out into the wilderness in order to retrieve it. However, little did he know that, in doing such, he had neglected to spend his four-hundred and fiftieth wedding anniversary with Truffles. Now, with his marriage on the rocks, something must be done to patch up their relationship.
When the two of them can’t get to sleep, Mung Daal allows Chowder to help him make a dish that is guaranteed to put people to sleep. However, when Chowder uses too much of an ingredient, he must find a way to wake Mung Daal up before Truffles realizes what happened, as he doesn’t want to get in trouble.
