Ellie assures Chuck, Morgan and Alex that Casey is in good hands. His doctor is a friend of hers, and he thinks John should regain consciousness in a day or two. When she leaves, Morgan reassures Alex. Casey starts making his usual noises. He says pants, and Alex figures there must be something in the pocket. Morgan gets out the half-eyeball from Hydra, and Chuck flashes everything. Chuck asks him where he got the eyeball, and Casey says "Sarah."
Sarah throws some spider tech in a room, and it acts to unlock a door. Mary and Sarah arrive in Volkoff's office. They have two minutes to get what they are there for. Alexei calls, and Mary takes a speaker phone call from him. He whines to her about how badly his day went while Sarah accesses information. She tells him she has to go to bed, and rejoins Sarah. Sarah discovered that "The Contessa" has access to the Hydra.
Beckman tells Morgan and Chuck that Agent Walker will be in the field awhile longer. She's learned that Volkoff is planning to transfer the Hydra network to a woman called The Contessa. Chuck asks about the piece of Hydra that he flashed on. Ronny Imacher designed Yuri's eye. There's a good chance that he designed something for the Contessa as well. Beckman assures him that her superiors are following up on what Chuck discovered when he flashed. Chuck is too close to the situation. He needs to stand down. Morgan tries to reassure him, but Chuck refuses to drop it. Volkoff took everything from him. He's going to put his family back together again. This was his dad's mission, so he's going to finish it for him.
Chuck and Morgan start formulating a plan. They agree that this is a good plan. Morgan wonders if it's not what would be known as a suicide mission. Chuck says no. First thing they need to do is find this Ronny Imacher. As Chuck leaves the room, Morgan mutters that they're gonna need some help.
Alexei arrives on his floor and finds the lights flickering and off. When he goes to call security, there's a busy signal. A screen across from his desk reads "Hello Volkoff. I want my wife back. Orion." Alexei mutters that "he" is still alive.
Alexei takes a meeting. He informs Armand that they have a problem, in the form of Stephen Bartowski. Armand says that Orion was killed. Alexei says that Orion broke into his computer system last night. He's going to take Frost somewhere safe while Armand figures out where Orion has been hiding all these years. Alexei will be visiting an old friend - the Contessa.
Chuck is looking up the Contessa when Devon arrives. Chuck hands him Ellie's push mix, and Devon thanks him. Ellie doesn't like any of his music. He still needs to find somebody to make the placenta into vitamin pills. Chuck doesn't know how he can un-hear that. He needs to un-hear that.
He tells Devon he's going to be out of town for a bit, so he took the liberty of getting Ellie and Devon CIA protection just in case anything goes bad in his absence. He gives Devon a number to call if that happens.
Jeff blocks Devon, and Lester steals the CD. They figure Chuck put a bunch of indie crap on it. The first thing a baby hears shouldn't be recorded. It should be live. This baby needs Jeffster.
Imacher is a professor at UC Irvine. Morgan realizes that they can't bring him to Castle, because Beckman ordered them to back off. They put him in a kind of tarp tent and wear sunglasses and wool caps as a disguise. They question him, and it turns out they grabbed the wrong guy. Morgan thinks they have to kill the guy, because he saw half their faces. Chuck says no - they just need to find the real Imacher. And this time, bring the picture.
They get back inside, and Imacher begs them not to hurt him, he's just an engineer. He admits to designing the Hydra. When Chuck asks about the Contessa, he tells him that it's a boat, not a person.
Alexei brings Mary and Sarah to the Contessa. He thinks of her as his floating fortress. Mary and Sarah lag behind. Mary says Volkoff is nervous, that's why he's gone mobile. They have to get the Hydra tonight, and nothing can get in their way.
chuck and Morgan arrive in scuba gear. Chuck loses his wetsuit, but Morgan can't. He's not wearing anything but his underwear underneath it. He doesn't see how Chuck could fit anything besides himself in there. They're going to head for the lower decks. Chuck advises Morgan to try not to squeak.
Mary tells Sarah that tonight, whether or not they find the Hydra? Sarah is going home. Sarah says no, because she promised Chuck she wouldn't come home without his mom. Mary gets how that goes, she's made a lot of promises herself. But she doesn't want Sarah to become her, and she will not allow her son to become his father. So tonight, it ends.
Armand calls and tells Alexei he's getting nowhere with finding Orion. He wants Access to Hydra.
Chuck and Morgan run into Mary and Sarah. Sarah and Chuck kiss, but Mary is livid. What are they doing there? Morgan answers "taking down Volkoff". How did they even find them!? Chuck says this is their mission. They don't have to do this alone. He and Morgan are here to help.
Mary is going to shoot two of Volkoff's men, but Chuck stops her and uses a Tranq gun. They find the door to the server. Chuck goes to work to try to open it, but Morgan grabs a door card and opens it. He steps through, and the doors slide closed behind him. Infra-rays crisscross the corridor. He calls out to the others that he thinks he's going to die in there. There's lasers. Lots and lots of lasers, and they cut things. Chuck tells him to hang on, he's hacking the system from the outside. Mary calls out to Morgan that if he can get through the lasers, he can power them down, and open the door for them. He has to try.
Morgan tells himself he's a yogi, he's at his peak, and he can do this. He works his way through slowly, and finds out his body was doing things he didn't even know he could do. He calls out to them when he gets stuck. Chuck tries a couple of things, and the lasers start moving. Morgan took off his wet suit and went and turned off the lasers. Mary and Sarah go to work on Hydra. Chuck plugs something in, and Sarah gives Morgan her jacket. Mary sees what Chuck's doing and tells him to stop. He says okay and stops just long enough for her to turn back around.
Mary gets in, and finds all of Volkoff's contacts. She transfers all the Hydra files to the CIA offshore site.
Ellie tells Devon her water just broke. He starts getting everything together and notices that the push mix is gone. His perfect plan is no longer perfect. He calls the number Chuck gave him, and there's a knock at the door. It's the transport service. Ellie asks if Devon arranged it, and he smiles.
The transfer won't take without Volkoff's voice being recognized. They're all busted. Alexei tells Frost he is very disappointed in her. He tells her she did this, and orders his men to shoot them. She disarms him and says that they can't shoot her before she gets one shot off, and one shot is all she needs. She tells Chuck to leave. He brings up the rear, and tries to get Mary to follow, but she shoots a panel and the lasers come back. Chuck is very upset, this wasn't part of his plan. Sarah makes him leave.
Alexei slugs Mary, knocking her to the floor. He takes the gun that she aimed at him and shoots one of his guards. He takes her to the monitor and shows her a message from Orion. Armand did a little digging. Mary has been talking to Orion behind his back, night after night for years. She tells him she has no idea what he's talking about, but Alexei doesn't believe her. Her husband is still alive. She tells him that the truth is, alive or dead, her husband was ten times the man Alexei will ever be. Every moment she was with him, she was thinking about her husband.
Alexei gently touches her face and tells Mary "I'm going to visit your husband. And when I come back, I'm bringing you his body." then he kisses her. After he walks out, she wipes her mouth.
Alex is standing by his bed when Casey wakes up. She cracks a joke, and he smiles. She tells him she likes having her dad around, she's gotten used to it. She wants him to stay near. He holds out his hand, and she takes it.
Ellie is getting ready to give birth. Devon is acting very strangely, but Ellie tells the doctor he's been like this before. He'll snap out of it.
Alexei arrives at the cabin mentioned in Orion's communique, but Chuck is the one who greets him. He knocks Alexei out and immobilizes him. Alexei can't believe he walked into a trap. Chuck pulls a gun on Alexei, telling him that this is for taking his mother which effectively ended his father's life. As Volkoff talks, he works on untying the ropes. Chuck can't kill him. If he does, what's going to happen to all the people he loves? Volkoff has access to everyone.
As Ellie breathes, Armand arrives in Casey's room and Volkoff slips his bonds. He knocks Chuck to the ground. He tells him that if it wasn't for Chuck, everyone could have gotten out of this alive. Armand puts a pillow over Casey's face. He struggles, and finally flat lines. Armand says "And now for the sister."
Volkoff tells Chuck that there's going to be a family reunion, as he takes the safety off his gun. Chuck says "I can't believe you haven't figured out the solution yet." Volkoff says "solution", and that was all they needed. That was the last word in the pass code that needed to be in Volkoff's voice, "Death is the solution to all problems." Morgan is in. Chuck's dad created a virus that is now transferring the entire Hydra network. He tells Volkoff that in the end, it was Stephen J. Bartowski that took him down.
As Chuck fills Volkoff in on what he learned from his father, Casey shows Armand that he flat lined because he unplugged his machines. Sarah helps Mary escape. When Alexei pulls the trigger, he finds out that Chuck truly is his father's son. There are no bullets in the gun.
The transfer is complete. Alexei thinks he still won, because dozens of his heavily armed men are outside. Chuck is going to need an army to get out of there alive. Somebody knocks on the door, and Chuck opens it. It's General Beckman and her army. they place Volkoff under arrest. She tells Chuck that Sarah and Mary are safe. Morgan arrives to tell Chuck it's baby time. He asks Beckman for a lift, so she calls him a chopper.
Devon is still all weirded out. Ellie asks him to go out and take five minutes to pull himself together. He's all she has, she needs him in his right mind.
Jeff and Lester arrive. They're ordered to take a seat.
John finds Devon and tells him not to make the same mistake he did. He wasn't at his daughter's birth, either. Devon goes back in. Lester and Jeffrey play "Push it" over the hospital's sound system. Casey recognizes them and is unamused. Sarah, Chuck, Morgan and Mary arrive at the hospital. Security stops Jeff and Lester.
The nurse asks if they're family, and everybody says yes. The nurse says okay, but only one of you can come in. Chuck sends Mary, asking her to let Ellie know they are all out here. Ellie is happy to see her mom.
Morgan and Casey are chatting as they go back to Casey's room. Morgan asks where Alex is, and Casey says she went home. Alex says no - she just went to get coffee. She's not going anywhere. He's stuck with her.
The baby is a beautiful baby girl. Devon gets to hold her.
Chuck proposes. Sarah says yes.
