Chuck Versus the Seduction Impossible - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Marrakesh, Morocco:

A white tux-clad Roan Montgomery makes a phone call. He leaves a message, saying he's sorry he couldn't make it, but he's thinking of them. He sees a beautiful woman at the bar and tells her he's jealous. Men must take one look at her and tell her all their secrets. She wants him to impress her, and he does. He has the new $100 bill, impossible to duplicate. However, somebody did and he's in town to find them. She identifies him as a spy, and by name. He's surrounded by three women. One of them applies something to his neck, taking him down. His last words are "what a way to go."

Back home:

Everybody is at Ellie and Doc's, admiring Clara. Mary is tracking the baby's #1 and #2 progress by computer. The minute Clara utters a peep, Casey excuses himself. Morgan finds him in the kitchen and tells him that Alex wants him to meet her mom. The problem is, Alex's mom thinks that Casey is dead. Morgan wants him to be honest with her. Casey says he'll think about it.

Back in with the gang, everybody is planning Chuck and Sarah's wedding without them being able to get a word in edgewise. Casey, Sarah and Chuck are developing anxiety from all the domesticity. Sarah declares that they need a mission.

They contact Beckman, and she's drinking heavily. She has a mission in mind for them but it's off the books and they'd have no support. They can't say "yes" fast enough. They need to go rescue and return Roan Montgomery. Sarah asks if it's not possible, given Roan's proclivities - but Beckman interrupts to say that it's not possible. He was investigating a crime czarina, Fatima Tazi. She heads up an army of female soldiers. This generates a smile and brow raise from Casey. He's believed to be in Fatima's fortress. She wants him located and brought safely back to the USA.

After she turns off the camera, Chuck wonders why she's such a mess. Casey and Sarah fill him in. Beckman and Roan have been an item for decades. Historic things happen when those two are together. Casey volunteers some dates and places. Berlin, 1989. Iraq, 1991. Florida, 2000. So that's why they're going to go get him.

Back in Marrakesh, Roan is immobilized in a chair. Fatima taunts him, but he says he's exactly where he wanted to be: in front of the woman who creates flawless counterfeit currency. He doesn't believe she's going to kill him. She should make him her head of distribution. With his contacts, she'll have no trouble getting her bills out there.

Sarah giggles at Chuck. He always overpacks for missions. They discuss the wedding. They're very sweet, but Sarah has a proposition for him. She'd really like to elope. They could go somewhere amazing, and all this stress and pressure could be avoided.

He checks in with Morgan. They can't elope! Morgan has to be his best man. Chuck just got his family back together. He wants them to be there on his big day. Morgan knows Chuck has never been able to do this before, but he's going to have to put his foot down. Just say no. Morgan figures he can practice saying no on little things, and then slowly work his way up.

Casey, Sarah and Chuck arrive at Roan's holding place. Sarah asks him if he wants water, so he says no. He changes his mind, since he was just practicing saying no. They get inside and find belly dancers entertaining the party. Sarah says she will not be dressing as a belly dancer. Chuck asks if she'd do it for her country. Sarah counters that if he's that into Morocco, they can always elope here. They dive into a tent and change into appropriate gear. Sarah gets a lock on Roan and they head his way. Chuck flashes after a few steps. Super-bad Saudi oil tycoon at 12:00. Sarah wonders what they're doing here, but Casey doesn't care. That's not their mission.

They get upstairs and find Roan's room heavily guarded. Casey knocks the soldiers out with tranquilizer shots, and they arrive in his room. Roan is tied to the bed, blindfolded, and purring happily at Fatima about bringing oil. He continues rambling until Casey takes off his blindfold. He's not amused to see them. He doesn't need rescuing, he can finesse himself out of any situation. He tells them he doesn't have time to fill them in, but he's about to blow Fatima's counterfeiting ring wide open.

He wants to know how they found him, but then he realizes his watch was a birthday present from Diane. Fatima is almost back to the room, so he tells them to hide. Casey goes under the bed, and Chuck and Sarah hide behind the tapestries.

Alex arrives at work to inform Morgan he's meeting her mom Friday. He has a surprise for her, too. Casey agreed to get in touch with her mom. Let her know he's alive and well, and back in the picture. Alex is very upset. She's trying to protect her mom. For the first time in Alex's life, her mom is happy.

All three agents are stuck in the room, listening to things unfold between Roan and Fatima. Chuck is in imminent danger of sneezing. Casey wants to bail, and Sarah agrees. Chuck continues saying 'no'. He thinks Roan is making good progress, and they should let him finish his mission. He sneezes, and the tapestry falls off the wall, exposing Chuck and Sarah. Fatima pulls a pistol and calls for the guards. Everybody is sent to the dungeon, including Roan. They miss Casey's presence, and he radios "sit tight, I'll get you out."

Chuck and Sarah are back-to-back and fuming. He tells Roan that they're having trouble communicating, and the ball-and-chain aren't helping. Sarah assumes he's referring to her, but they've actually got a ball-and-chain attached to Chuck. Chuck finally announces that he doesn't want to elope. He has always wanted a big family wedding. Sarah hears him, but why is this his decision? What about what she wants? Roan is happy he's not part of this discussion.

Casey thinks he's going to seduce his way past a lady guard. Chuck, Sarah and Roan know better. They're all anxiety-ridden at the thought of how badly things are about to go. He compliments her weapon and comments on her loneliness. She must be cold, but she can take it. She's hardy. Good thing they didn't assign one of those skinny ones down here. That's when she opens fire, but Casey gets a tranq shot off first. They all escape, but Casey says he's staying behind to follow up on the Fatima case. He orders Chuck and Sarah to get Roan back to Burbank. Roan refuses, so Casey tranqs him as well. He sends a message to Morgan that he'll be back in a week or two.

Back home, Beckman debriefs the three of them. She's very angry at Roan. If Casey gets in trouble in Morocco, Chuck and Sarah will be getting him out. She has a new mission for Roan. He's working at Buy More. He's never had polyester against his skin before. It chafes. Chuck wants to ask him about Beckman. It's not about Morocco. She's mad about Berlin. He reminisces about how things unfolded. They were together for months, and she said "what about us" and he said "if we're alive in 20 years, let's be together." They were supposed to meet a few days ago. She is who he was calling when he apologized for not being there.

Morgan gets in the system to check on Casey. Casey is not amused to hear from him, but says he does want to let Alex's mom know he's alive. Morgan tells him that Alex doesn't want him to. He apologizes to Casey.

Roan tells Chuck he never thought he'd still be a spy in 20 years. Chuck counters that he never saw himself eloping. Roan gives him some tips to handle the situation so Sarah will be happy to have a family wedding. Chuck doesn't think he can do it, so Roan helps Chuck change his appearance so he'll be more appealing to Sarah, and she'll have trouble saying no.

When he arrives home, he finds Sarah belly dancing for him. She apologizes, and he does as well. But she uses her body and feminine wiles to get him to agree to eloping. He realizes what she's doing, and changes his mind. Beckman calls them in, so they have to change. She goes to do so, and Chuck is left whimpering that he doesn't want her to change.

Casey has a wire in Fatima's meeting, and he's sending the information back to Castle and General Beckman. The investors are confronting Fatima. They gave her all their gold, where is her mint that she promised them? She intends to circulate $1 trillion dollars of her fake currency, causing the US economy to buckle. They need the dollar to remain strong, and become quite angry. Her army opens fire on the financiers, killing them all. Part of the bearing wall came down, and Casey is trapped. Chuck and Sarah are sent back to Morocco to get the location of the mint and rescue Casey. Roan is going to have to go back so he can seduce the location of the mint out of Fatima. Chuck says Beckman is sending Roan to certain death, but she doesn't care.

Mary finishes reading Sleeping Beauty to her granddaughter. Ellie eavesdrops as Mary tells Clara about her missions.

Roan is headed up the wall to seduce Fatima, and Chuck and Sarah are going to go find Casey. He tells them before they leave to never go on a mission angry. Fatima finds Roan pointing a pistol at her. He promptly hands it over to her, and she aims it at him. He tries to handle the situation as best he can, but Beckman is sounding off in his earpiece.

Sarah and Chuck discuss the wedding. She doesn't have any family, that's why she was fighting him. There's nobody to walk her down the aisle. Casey intrudes to ask them to free him before he has to cut his arm off.

Roan asks Fatima what's in this for her. When she was a girl, her village was destroyed by Americans. She'll destroy all of America with her economic flood. He asks her the name of her village, he actually remembers the name and says it, she is touched that he remembered that little detail. Beckman gets the village on her monitor and locates the mint. She initiates air strikes on the village and tells Chuck and Sarah to get Casey out now. They're interrupted by the female army, so Casey uses the bullet holes in the wall to fire at them. One of them radios to Fatima, who turns the gun back on Roan. She orders the soldiers to kill Chuck and Sarah, but Casey opens fire. She thinks she heard her own soldiers firing and tells Roan that his friends are no more.

Fatima is about to shoot Roan when his cell phone rings. He takes the call, and Fatima relieves him of it. She asks who's calling, and Beckman identifies herself. Fatima tells her she's the woman who is about to kill her agent. Diane says good, and Fatima finds that odd. She relays to Roan. He rolls his eyes and announces they're in the middle of a tiff. Fatima puts Roan back on the phone so he can apologize. He does so, she accepts and then says oh, one more thing. DUCK! She fires a rocket launcher at Tazi's compound. Both of them are rendered unconscious. Beckman asks Chuck and Sarah if he's alive, and she's relieved to hear he'll be fine.

Roan and Diane share drinks at a bar. She gives him a speech about why they can't be together. He asks how she knows the speech, and she says it's hers. So why did she hunt him down? Because you never run away from a general. He hopes they can still have the occasional rendezvous.

Casey arrives to see Morgan, Alex, Katherine and another gentleman walking out front.

Ellie thanks Mary for her help, but she doesn't think Mary wants to be a full-time grandma. She tells her she made Chuck quit the CIA. Mary looks away, because she knows Chuck never quit. Chuck says Mary is the best. Ellie can't force somebody else to give up what they're good at because she's afraid.

Chuck and Sarah talk wedding and family. She helped him put his family back together again, he'd like to return the favor.
