Morgan is being tortured by somebody using a voice synthesizer. He
denies any knowledge of the CIA or John Casey. He admits he works with
John - at Buy More. Casey cuts him loose. At least he didn't wet himself
this time. Much. Casey welcomes him to the team before he gets ready and
heads out the door.
Sarah and Chuck are playing Operation because they've had nothing to do
for two weeks. The boredom is killing them. When Casey arrives, they get
all excited about the possibility of a mission. He tells them he's just
returning something, a sniper rifle. Chuck can't figure out why John has
work and they don't. Casey jokes that maybe the intersect has made the
world a more peaceful place. Chuck buys it, but Sarah knows better.
Casey is up to something, and she's going to find out what. Chuck
follows her as they follow John.
He lets himself into his office, using a hand print. Both Chuck and
Sarah are denied access. Sarah wants to confront Casey, but Chuck has a
better idea. He grills Morgan, who almost succeeds at not giving
anything away. Morgan makes the same comment that Casey did before
shutting the door in Chuck's face.
Back at home, Sarah thinks they need to keep a close eye on John. He's
running missions without the Intersect. What if he gets in a jam, and
needs their help?
Devon let Chuck and Sarah borrow his new Sienna. Chuck lists all the
reasons it's perfect for observation work.
Casey shows up for his meeting. The main man is inhospitable, and almost
loses the deal. Lesson learned. Casey has a seat as Chuck and Sarah
watch from above. He offers to let the man examine the item, and he
refuses, saying he'd trust Dragan with his life. On the other hand, you.
John Casey, NSA agent; not so much. How stupid is he, coming there all
alone? Casey smirks, as he has the situation well in hand. Chuck and
Sarah don't know that though, as they introduce themselves, gun drawn,
as Casey's team. Casey asks what they're doing there, and Chuck tells
him they are saving his life.
Casey calls Chuck an idiot, and the boss calls them all idiots. Casey
nods to one of the gunmen, and she and another open fire on the rest of
them. When she pulls off her cap, she has a mane of blond hair just like
Sarah's. Both of the gunmen are previous Gretas, Captains Rick Noble and
Victoria Dunwoody. Casey introduces his new team to the old one.
Noble and Dunwoody have taken over everything that used to be Chuck and
Sarah's. But how can they replace the Intersect? Chuck and Sarah go
introduce themselves to the new members. The two captains introduce
themselves, but they're very cold. Casey calls Sarah aside for a private
chat. She doesn't want to hear it, and Casey doesn't get a chance to
talk to her before his new boss arrives and says they have a meeting
with the team in five - that is, if he's all done fraternizing with his
old team. Chuck asks who that was, and Casey says Director Bentley.
She's their Beckman, except not as warm and cuddly.
Sarah confronts Beckman. She's playing the cards she was dealt, and
suggests they do the same. Chuck asks which is the A-Team, and which is
the B-Team. Enough! snaps Beckman. They need to focus on the mission at
hand. Oh good, they have a mission. What is it? They're going after the
Dragan that Necati Acar, aka the Turk, referenced when he was captured
by Casey's team. He's made a fortune dismantling the former Soviet
arsenal and selling it on the black market. The Turk has agreed to lure
Dragan onto US soil under the condition that Acar's family be offered
asylum. All they have is a name, Jana. Wife? Chuck thinks it sounds more
like a mistress name. They're sending Chuck so he can use the Intersect
to ID her and return her to safety.
Chuck arrives home and finds Devon pacing outside. Coming home to a new
mommy is stressful. She makes up for not talking to another adult for 12
hours when he gets home. He asks Chuck to wish him luck. He gets inside.
He wasn't exaggerating. She talks straight through teeth brushing and
everything. Even when they go to bed. She wants her dad's computer back.
She thinks there was more to it than what they found.
Sarah's still stressing about if they got the A- or B-Team mission.
Chuck's phone rings, and it's Devon. He says he's whispering because
Clara is asleep, plus he doesn't want Ellie to overhear. He tells Chuck
about her wanting the laptop and Chuck says no. It's very dangerous, and
that's why it's buried deep beneath Langley right now. What is Devon
supposed to tell her? She gave the computer to him. Chuck advises him to
tell her he lost it. In fact, he should say he took it to Buy More to
get it fixed, and they misplaced it. Perfect, she'll definitely believe
that Jeff and Lester lost it.
Ellie confronts Lester and Jeffrey. No claim stub, no computer. Lester
waves her back out again. Ellie tells them there's naughty video on the
computer, and they get right on it.
Chuck and Sarah arrive in Tbilisi, republic of Georgia. A sedan pulls
up, and four men get out. Jana is in the trunk. Sarah and Chuck draw
their weapons, but Jana is a yorkie, traveling in a carrier. Chuck
finally realizes that they are, in fact, the B-Team. Chuck fumes his way
through Castle. How did it come to this? They used to be the sharp end
of the CIA stick, and now they're glorified pet couriers. Sarah says
Dragan is the brass ring, they need to capture him to show who the real
A-Team is. Chuck says only the Turk knows where Dragan is. He doesn't
know where the Turk is being kept, but they hear Jana bark. They follow
her bark to Casey's new office, where they have no means of access.
Chuck beats on Casey's door. He can hear Morgan eating potato chips on
the other side. Morgan tells him he can't tell him anything. Chuck was
getting his attention so Sarah could break in and shoot him with a tranq
gun. Once he's out, they look for something with Casey's hand print on
it so they can get in the door. Chuck finds Casey's perfect hand print
on Reagan's picture, and they break into the new Castle. It's much
cooler than the original Castle.
Chuck follows Jana's bark and speaks to the Turk. He's glad to see
Chuck. Jana needs peepee time. Sarah works on a computer and opens a new
door. She calls for Chuck and they approach his dad's computer. The two
captains arrive and tell Chuck he's not classified to have anything to
do with the Intersect. He assures them he IS the intersect. Noble tells
Chuck he's not as special as he thinks, while Dunwoody smirks that he
should leave, before he gets hurt. Chuck becomes livid. He flashes, and
finds out that Noble and Dunwoody can match him move-for-move. They all
three have the Intersect.
Chuck tries to take his dad's computer back, but Dunwoody offers to put
a bullet in that obsolete brain of his if he doesn't put it down. The
computer is property of the US government. Casey advises her to put the
gun down, but she refuses. Director Bentley arrives, and backs Dunwoody.
Her intersects aren't afraid to pull the trigger. If looks could kill,
Casey would be dead right now. The CIA's two Intersect teams were never
supposed to intersect. The two Gretas passed the tests that were being
run at Buy More, to become proven Intersect candidates. They are the
best of the best. So what does that make Chuck? Casey tells him none of
this would be possible without him. Bentley says they've been studying
Chuck, and adjusting the program based on Chuck's limitations. What
limitations? His oversensitivity, and his reliance on his handler. His
inability to terminate targets. Sarah notes that since Vicky almost shot
Chuck, apparently they've overcome that last issue.
Bentley excuses herself to discuss their mission, while Chuck and Sarah
listen. Chuck obviously flashes, but Noble has the same information and
contributes it to the meeting, while shooting Chuck a discounting
glance. Bentley gives Casey his orders, and dismisses him. She tells
Chuck and Sarah they are free to return home and await further orders.
Chuck mutters "Unbelievable" before leaving.
Casey grabs Sarah again to attempt to explain. She cuts him off again.
He sticks with the conversation. She rounds on him in anger. "We were a
team!" Casey disagrees. Chuck and Sarah were a team. He was just the
backup. She disagrees. Casey tries to placate her by saying that she and
Chuck are still good agents. "Yeah, well; we used to be the best."
Ellie calls Buy More about the laptop. Lester tells her that they may
have given it to the wrong person. Lester and Jeffrey try to use ESP to
figure out how they gave the computer to. He writes "CIA." Lester
figures Cia is a name, and Jeffrey blew it.
Casey, Noble and Dunwoody look at the people boarding the plane. One of
them is carrying a bomb. That makes this a 5-man job. John wants Chuck
and Sarah included. Bentley wonders if he's not just being sentimental.
Noble doesn't think they're necessary, but Bentley has ulterior motives,
and this is the perfect job for Chuck Bartowski.
Chuck and Sarah arrive. He's supposed to use the Intersect to defuse the
bomb. Chuck saw "Hurt Locker". He knows the suit won't help any if
things go wrong.
The plane lands and the passengers start disembarking. They're all
carrying automatic weapons. Chuck figures the A-Team to be out-manned
and out-gunned. He's wrong, they do fine. Casey greets the last man off
the plane. He opens his suitcase, and the two Gretas flash on the
contents. Sarah whispers to Casey to let Dragan go, she's got her eyes
on him. Nobel tells Casey that it's a Frankenstein bomb with 100
different components. There's nothing in the Intersect to help him.
Chuck says he can handle it.
Sarah catches up with Dragan. He shows her his hands, then his chest.
He's wired. He tells her he IS the detonator. If his heart stops, the
bomb goes off. If she shoots him, hundreds of thousands of people will
die in a nuclear blitz. He pulls a gun and threatens to kill Sarah.
Victoria arrives and shoots him despite Sarah yelling at her not to.
Dragan flatlines. They have five minutes. Noble wants to move the bomb
somewhere less populated. Chuck says he can disarm it. Noble disagrees -
they both have the same computer. Chuck reiterates that he can do this.
Casey gives him the job.
Less than four minutes now. Chuck gives John and Sarah orders, and they
follow. They need saltwater, which will cause automatic deactivation of
the detonator in this specific case. They're nowhere near the ocean,
where are they going to get salt water. Less than 1.5 minutes to go.
There's sodium in Chuck's juice box. It works! Chuck and Sarah kiss and
exchange I love yous.
Beckman talks to both teams. Bentley thinks the operation requires only
one team, and Beckman concurs. However, Bentlely's team managed to kill
the man they were supposed to capture, and accidentally armed a nuclear
bomb. Bentley never should have begun the Intersect Project without the
original Intersect. Therefore, Agent Bartowski is now in charge of all
aspects of the Intersect Project. Bentley wants to know what's going to
happen to her and her Gretas. They are returned to normal and removed
from the project. Casey sends them off and prepares to leave as well.
Bentley stops him. She never dismissed him.
Beckman is wrong. There was nothing wrong with her Gretas. It was the
computer belonging to Chuck's dad. She wants Casey to help her fix it.
She needs somebody who thinks like a Bartowski.
Chuck tells Sarah to prepare herself for Final Fantasy 2. Beckman
interrupts, they are going on a mission. Sarah leaps out of her chair.
Doesn't she want to know where they're going? Sarah tells him that
they're the A-Team. Chuck figures he'll bring his game with, it'll be a
long flight. Sarah kisses him and tells him she's sure they can find
something else to pass the time. "Not to be crude, but you were talking
about sex, right?"
Devon gets home. Ellie doesn't start babbling when he walks in. She's
sad about the laptop. She's even more sad that she's 'just' a
stay-at-home mom. Devon talks her down. She's not "just" anything. She's
Mrs. Awesome.
Morgan admits that Chuck & Sarah trained him. Casey is happy to inform
him that he doesn't have to lie to Chuck anymore. From here on out
they're on the same team.
Bentley brings the computer to Ellie. She claims the Nerd Herd screwed
up. Ellie gets lost in the computer, and is surprised the day is gone
when Devon arrives home.
