• NBC Exec Comments on Status of Chuck, Friday Night Lights

There was a lot of discussion today at NBC's Television Critics Association presentation about how secure several critically acclaimed but relatively low-rated series are, such as Chuck, Life and Friday Night Lights. With NBC making room for The Jay Leno Show Monday through Friday at 10:00pm next fall, there will be a lot less room on the schedule for scripted series, making the fight for the other slots more intense than ever.

Asked about Chuck specifically, NBC and Universal Media Studios' President of Primetime Entertaiment, Angela Bromstad, said, "I love Chuck. I think it's a really fun show. I think it's a lot of fun paired with Heroes." Noting the other shows it's up against on Monday nights, Bromstad said, "It is going to face tough competition, but it certainly is a show that we'll be looking at when we make our decisions in the spring."
