City of Angels (1976)

City of Angels (1976)

Private eye drama set in Los Angeles of the 1930's that starred Wayne Rogers and aired for 13 episodes on NBC in 1976. Rogers played Jake Axminster, a somewhat jaded private detective. Elaine Joyce and Clifton James co-starred as Jake's secretary and police department contact respectively. The series was pretty much a knock-off of Banyon another private eye drama with an identical setting which had aired on NBC a few years earlier.
