Color TV

Each week in February 2010, TV One celebrates Black History Month with its "Way Black When" feature, and in its third week -- called "Color TV" -- focuses on five classic black sitcoms. These comedies not only became a proving ground for some of Hollywood's most successful black actresses/actors, but they also provided an authentic reflection of African American life. Each night, a different comedy is highlighted while host Darryl Bell ("A Different World") leads a panel discussion with cast members from the sitcoms being featured. Panelists include: Ernest Thomas and Haywood Nelson ("What's Happening!"); Marla Gibbs ("The Jeffersons"); Jimmie Walker and BernNadette Stanis ("Good Times"); Lynn Hamilton ("Sanford and Son"); and Ajai Sanders ("A Different World").
