Coming Home (US)

Lifetime Television will premiere the powerful all-new reality series, "Coming Home", featuring U.S. soldiers' surprise family reunions across the country after serving long tours of duty on behalf of the country, on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at 10 PM (ET/PT).

The series' debut will immediately follow the fifth season premiere of Lifetime's hit drama Army Wives at 9 PM (ET/PT). In paying tribute to American armed forces personnel and their families, "Coming Home" will follow the unforgettable and inspiring surprise reunions of soldiers from all five branches of the military with their spouses, children, parents and other loved ones as they return home from active duty throughout the world.

Hosted by former American Idol finalist Matt Rogers, each of the program's 13 hour-long episodes will highlight five reunions featuring soldiers and their emotional stories. With hundreds of thousands of members of the armed forces serving the country in the Middle East and elsewhere across the globe, military family reunions have become a sensation online, where millions of people have been inspired watching touching footage of loved ones and friends re-connecting with one another after enduring long periods of time apart. I love Coming Home. My dad, ex husband, brother, and now my oldest son are in or were in the Air Force. Now my youngest son has joined the Army. Its always wonderful when they come home and it is so sweet that they let the public see. I've cried when I've seen some of them. With all the stupid reality shows on tv..this one is a great one. Keep showing our wonderful, service men and women Coming Home..*S* Read more
