Lacey has a new delivery service that's a bigger hit than she thought it would be; Karen and Davis institute a "work to rule" policy, until they discover just how much "work" there is in that.

In order to raise money for charity, Karen locks Davis in the jail cell, and Hank, trying to be helpful, joins him. Lacey wants to give Corner Gas a make-over, but Brent isn't so enthusiastic about it; Wanda insists on fixing Oscar and Emma's toilet, even though plumbing is one of the few things she doesn't know how to do.

Hank travels down the information highway, and creates a blog, which Brent is all in favour of, until he realizes that he's going to have to read it; one of Lacey's friends becomes successful with a TV cooking show, and Lacey's cooking goes downhill. Emma tries to take Lacey's mind off things by inviting her over for a BBQ, but a game of horseshoes brings out the worst in Lacey; Wanda helps Davis with his tax return, but the result isn't what Davis expected.

Karen and Davis get a new GPS for DRPD, and Brent discovers that he's not really a 'townie' after all. Lacey loves the fact that Brent's now an outsider, while she's finally "in". Hank finds his calling as a garbage man, but Oscar and Emma feel that he's just a little too into his job and that he's invading their privacy. Davis needs some help with practical jokes and looks to Karen for assistance.

Emma wants a sewing room, and decides to clear out Brent's old things to create one. She gives his old toys to Hank, which causes Brent to have some fond memories, and brings out the possessiveness in him as well. Oscar tries selling cookies door-to-door, and finds that Karen is more than willing to help; Lacey introduces a new kids' menu for The Ruby, and finds that it's popular with the adults as well. Wanda tries to change her attitude towards the Corner Gas customers.

Everything is out of whack in Dog River; it's Mother's Day, but the only person who gets Emma a present is Hank. Brent's in the dog-house for forgetting, but Oscar escapes Emma's notice, what with all the problems that Brent and Hank are causing her. Lacey and Davis hold an embarrassing competition, while Karen and Wanda go shopping at a super-store, then have problems assembling their purchases.

Davis buys a table hockey game and puts it in the Police Station, and then finds that Karen is pretty good at it. The whole town gets into the game, culminating in a big showdown between Brent and Karen. Hank, seeing the way that Karen prepares for the match, no longer uses Brent as his role model. Lacey joins a new club and nominates Emma for an award to give her some long-needed recognition.

When Oscar, Emma and Wanda find out that Brent has never seen a horror movie, they're horrified, and set out to remedy the situation; Hank comes to the conclusion that he's spending too much time getting things out of his truck, and so decides to carry the contents of his truck with him.

Brent breaks his glasses, and decides that he likes the way he looks 'au naturel', but is he man enough to go through with laser surgery so that it's permanent? Wanda doesn't think he is, but her jibes at him are the deciding factor. Hank discovers his true calling in life in slogan-writing; Karen and Davis like one of the slogans so much, they put it on Cruiser #1. Oscar, however, isn't so fond of it, and takes matters into his own hands.

In yet another effort to increase tourism in Dog River, Hank comes up with another idea, and this one is actually successful. With the tourist dollars in hand, things change in town, in ways that no one imagined. Wanda gets a second job, reporting the news, while Davis takes on some extra work as Fitzy's body guard.
