Here we have another serving of relationship and sex as basis for a comedy series. This time from the view of a recently divorced 40 something women and her son. While this does not sound too exciting at first, after watching the Pilot i have to admit that the writers and creators made this enjoyable to watch and with potential for a good season ahead.

The characters are quirky and fun to watch. The acting is very solid. I did like the pacing of the show, it is fast and spot on in the delivery of the laughs. It reminded me a bit of Gilmore girls in that respect. There is not one minute wasted with trivialities or lengthy dialogs.

The characters are well picked. From jealous best girlfriend neighbor who is still married to a balding fat guy, the young, blond hyperactive secretary, a lazy ex husband (he gets alimony from her), another 40 something divorced neighbor who screws a new 20 something girl every night to the son who has to endure all this madness around him while being ridiculed at school about his mom's escapades.

I recommend watching the Pilot and deciding for yourself if you are into this kind of comedy. I will keep watching and see where the writers take this. It could be very hard to keep up this pace for the whole season but it has been done before. It has potential.
