	Steve Taylor, played by Jack Davenport (1) Steve Taylor is the type of man that tries to be the calm and collected type, but more often ends up nervously stumbling around. He starts the series dating Jane, but then goes on to spend most of the series dating Susan. Jeff is both Steve's friend and works in the same office as Susan. Through Susan, Patrick becomes friends with Jeff and Steve, and eventually, Jane and Sally. Steve really likes Mariella Frostrup.
