Houses of the Holy - Recap

The scene opens with Danielle’s kids running around in fairy costumes. Michael walks in and tells that he is going to be late and possibly not home for dinner. Danielle is not happy and tells that their vacation was canceled because he has to work. At Langley, Annie walks up to Auggie and asks who he is seeing because he was obvious picking up “her” outfit off the floor. But Auggie doesn’t kiss and tell. Conrad is back and tells that Annie needs to be in the conference room. Joan tells Auggie that he is going to be working with the Special Activities Unit but is going to work from Langley. In the conference room there is a possible crooked politician that is selling intelligence. They are going to send the team from Langley because they are young and successful.

Annie gets Senator Gil Jarvis, and meets with Madeline Jarvis, his wife. Annie uses her Smithsonian cover and they talk about a painting that they want to get from them. Ashley Briggs, chief of staff, enters and talks about the meeting that they have with someone. Madeline tells she wants something with birds and Annie tells that it is possible. Annie goes inside Gil’s office and gets the painting that they are going to use as “trade” and meets with Fredrico and picks up on his Brazilian accent. He is surprised that she speaks Portuguese and Annie tells that it is her favorite language. They talk and Fredrico tells that the Senator has Tuesday nights where he has nobody in his office. Afterward, Annie is riding by a hotel and sees Michael come out. At the CIA headquarters, Jay offers to take Annie out for a drink and she tells that she wants to get more information and tells that she wants to get more information and Jay tells her to get it. Joan watches from a distance. Annie goes back to the employee lockers and tells that she needs to make sure that the painting for trade is still there so that there are no discrepancies. The employee tells that she is not getting in until she tells that everyone is going to be in trouble if she doesn’t see it. He lets her in and Annie goes to Fredrico’s locker and gets his key card.

Annie goes to Gil’s office and sees a light on she peeks in and sees Ashley Brigs half naked with the Senator. She goes back to Langley and tells that she needs a copy of a key card. Auggie tells her “Spencer in IT”. She attempts to exit but is interrupted by people bringing in supplies. She asks what he is working on and he tells her that it is “Operation Goliath” and he has to keep drinking energy drinks to stay awake. She leaves and bumps into Jay, who has files for her. He tells that Ashley is not Gil’s first mistress and that Annie is doing good work. He warns that if she is wrong and goes after Ashley, no big deal. But if she is wrong about Jarvis, funding will be cut. Meanwhile, Auggie talks to a team of soldiers and tells that everything looks clear and asks who has been using his iTunes account. They laugh. Annie runs over to the Congressional Rowing Club and meets with Ashley to get to know her. They go out for coffee.

Annie gets back home and Michael tells that he is going to be late again. Danielle tells Annie that he has been working out of Baltimore and that he has not been in town. Back at Langley, Joan tells that she is pulling Auggie from “Operation Goliath” because she needs him. He tells that he needs the operation because it is men from his old unit and it is personal. Joan keeps him on. Annie returns and shows that she got the painting they wanted. Madeline is meeting with Tina Varma, the wife of Indonesian Ambassador, and they are going out and she tells that she will deal with the painting later. In the hallway, Madeline has a zip drive and takes it out of the laptop and puts it in a drawer. Ashley passes them in the hall and gives a dirty look. Annie tells that Ashley doesn’t like them and she tells that Tina and Madeline rack up a bill on the taxpayer’s dime. Annie suggests that they get their own bill and rack it up. They go out to drinks and Annie gets Ashley talking and she eventually admits to the affair. She tells that she loves Gil and that he is going to leave his wife.

Annie calls Jay and tells that Ashley confessed to having the affair and that she is not the leak. Annie tells Jay to run the name Tina Varma and tells that it is possible that Gil is being blackmailed. Annie goes back to Gil’s office and breaks into the cabinet that Madeline put the zip drive. It is a letter of resignation and frames Ashley Briggs for the secrets being sold. Annie calls Jay that Madeline is going to frame Ashley for selling intelligence to a foreign government and Jay tells that she “hooked a whale”. Joan meets with the secret service and they ask to be read in. Joan tells that she has the information and that they will know what they need to know. One of the men asks Annie to get coffee but Jay stops her before she does it. Meanwhile, Auggie is getting his team ready for “Operation Goliath” and Annie walks up and says that Michael is defiantly cheating on Danielle and Auggie tells that she probably already knows. Annie tells that it is not possible and tells that Auggie is not being his normal funny self. Auggie tells that he is point man and can hear the hesitation in the soldiers’ voices. Annie tells that Auggie is the best at what he does and he asks when she started to give inspirational motivation. She tells it started when Auggie went on loan for a different company.

The plan is to follow Madeline and the next scene shows Madeline walking into a library and Annie shadows and so are everyone else. Madeline puts an envelope in a book and walks out. She gets a taxi and a man in a blue car follows. Annie gets a taxi and bumps into Michael. She tells that she doesn’t have time for this right now and he tells her not to tell Danielle. In the library, Jay retrieves the envelope. Annie follows Madeline to a restaurant and tells that she is not from the Smithsonian and that she needs to go to Langley. She tells that she needs to talk to her lawyer. Annie tells if she does that, then it become legal with legal documents. Madeline gets escorted to Langley and Joan wants to know what she sold to people and why she was going to frame Ashley Briggs for it. Madeline tells it wasn’t her idea to frame Ashley but that it was Tina’s. Madeline tries to play the battered wife and tells that she was trying to take her life back with her husband and that Ashley was the last straw. Joan tells that she made a big mistake. Joan tells Annie to tell Ashley to take the fall and that the Indonesian’s need to think that their plan succeeded. Annie is not happy with it. She goes to Auggie and he tells that he is in the middle of the operation and cannot talk. Annie tells that she got inspiration to tell Ashley and that Auggie is motivated with his team. Annie visits Ashley and tells that she is not from the Smithsonian.

At Langley, Gil is there with his wife and he is appalled that she would sell secrets to Indonesia and she tells that it is his fault and that Ashley was the last straw. Jay comes in and tells that he needs to speak to her. Jay tells that the framing of Ashley is bad and that the Indonesians will kill Ashley. Back at the Rowing Club, Annie tells that Madeline is going to frame her and that Ashley was taking notes while vital information was talking to Gil. At Langley, Gil tells that Madeline sold secrets to Operations Cauldron, Side Alley, Goliath and Chapel. Joan goes to Auggie and tells that his mission is compromised. He tells that it is too late and that they are already with radio silence with the team. Back at the Rowing Club, Annie is trying to tell that they are going to give Ashley a new life and a man puts a canoe in the water. Ashley tells that Annie is a liar. Back at Langley, Auggie tells that the men are walking into a trap. Back with Annie, she lets Ashley pack up her things and sees the canoe floating in the water and remembers the man. The door begins to close and the man walks up to Ashley with a needle. Annie is too late to get under the door.

She runs around the back and the man attempts to stick Ashley. She fights back and gets away for a little bit. But she is pushed against the wall. Annie is there and hits the man with an ore. She is pushed against the wall. Annie gets a flare gun and shoots the man with it when he attempts to choke Ashley with the metal chain. She punches him and he punches back. He grabs her and attempts to stab her head into the fin of a canoe. She kicks out the man’s leg and hits him twice in the head with a canoe. Back at Langley, Auggie tells them to crash the convoy into the building and that his men will take it as an abort. They do it and the team tells that they are going to abort. Back at the Rowing Club, Jay and his men arrive and Annie opens the door. She has the man in handcuffs and both are safe. Annie tells that Ashley is not going to have to take the blame because they have the Indonesian man. She tells that she will live her life without protection. Annie goes home and Michael tells that it is not an affair he is having. He tells that he lost his job and that he has been searching for one. Annie tells that he needs to tell Danielle the truth. He agrees. Senator Gil Jarvis is on the television and tells that he is resigning from being Senator. Annie sees Michael and Danielle talking and she forgives Michael.
