Communication Breakdown - Recap
The scene opens with everyone in the DPD loosing connection and it is the same around the city. All communication is out. At Danielle’s house, she is trying to get into the internet and Annie walks in. She grabs a breakfast roll and Danielle tells that it is for her breakfast date with girls in the play group. She tells Annie that she is in the perfect light and starts taking pictures of her. Danielle’s daughter comes in and tells that the television is out too. Liza Hearn tells that the television is out and grabs her Press badge. Auggie is with her and they are romantically involved. He decides that he wants a little more and tells that he will call in sick. But he sees that the telephones are down too and tells that he needs to get to work. At the DPD, Auggie tells Joan that he needs to go out in the field because there is a hacker trying to make a name for himself. Joan tells that he will be going into the field because they need him. In the hall, Jay walks up to Annie and tells that she looks amazing in her outfit and says that Blue really suits her. They get in the office and Auggie tells that he is going out into the field to a glorified "Comic-Con” and they are briefed that Natasha Petrova is behind the hack. Auggie is shocked because Natasha is his ex-girlfriend.
They are briefed by Joan and she tells that Natasha was busted for hacking before and that she is a very good hacker. Joan tells that they will offer her $2 Million and Auggie tells that she is not interested in money. Auggie tries to get out of the mission but Joan tells that he is perfect for the job. Annie is to go and be his eyes for him. Jay comes up to Annie and tells that she needs to take some photos of her off the internet for security reasons. They are the pictures Danielle took of her. In Auggie’s apartment, Annie waits for Auggie to get dressed and sees a woman’s stocking at his place and he tells her that he was romantically involved with Natasha and that she is a very smart woman. He comes out in a Mario Bros. 1 Up Mushroom shirt and Annie laughs he tells that it the dress code of Datatech. They arrive and Auggie informs Annie that everyone who is good at what they do go there and that you can tell the law enforcement because they are the only ones in suits besides the Europeans. They go to a stand and there are ex-criminals talking about the hack that went through and Natasha approaches the microphone. Auggie recognizes her voice.
Auggie and Annie watch from a distance as Natasha is yelling at the Europeans and Annie tells that she is walking by him. Auggie gets her attention. She is surprised to see him and slaps him. He tells that he didn’t see that coming because he is blind. She tells that she is sorry but tells that she will not feel sorry for him after he left her alone for two years. He tells that he knows that she is behind the hack from the morning and tells her that he wants in. They take their conversation elsewhere and Auggie tells that she could take $2 Million if she gives up the code. Natasha tells that she will release it to everyone. Auggie tells that there are a lot of people who will use the code for bad reasons. Auggie tells that he is CIA. She is surprised and walks away.
Annie talks with Auggie in the car and he tells that he had to break off the relationship because he wanted to protect her. He knew that the FBI were watching her and he loved her. Annie tells that she isn’t buying it. She tells that if he loved her, he wouldn’t break it off like that. He tells Annie that sometimes when the CIA tells you to cut all ties, you have to do just that. They arrive back at Langley and Annie tells that Joan it was a failed mission. Auggie hits a chair and yells at the guy for moving around the furniture. Auggie is set that Natasha is unresponsive and Joan tells that he is going out tomorrow. Auggie is defensive. Joan asks for Annie and the other Agent to leave them and she tells Auggie that people can be turned for three reasons: Money, Patriotism, and Love. Auggie tells that he doesn’t know if Natasha will buy it but tells that he will go and do it. Annie gets back to the house and Danielle shows her the pictures on the website. But Annie tells that she has to take them down because she is trying to portray a professional image at work. Danielle is not happy and deletes the picutres. The next morning Annie walks into Auggie’s and he tells that he is almost ready. Annie tells that she had a horrible night and gets some coffee. Liza Hearn calls and Auggie hangs up the phone quickly. Auggie tells that he is sleeping with Liza and Annie thinks that he is the leak. Auggie tells that he is only playing her to get her sources. Annie is disgusted but Auggie tells that he is going to have to do the same to Natasha.
Auggie meets with Natasha at a cafe and tells that it wasn’t his intention to break up with her and that he almost quit the CIA because of it. Annie and Jay are listening and Annie tells that they shouldn’t be listening but Jay tells that Auggie knows that they’re listening. Auggie tells Natasha that he went to Iraq to get away from there and became blind because of it. Suddenly Annie recognizes the FBI coming up and Jay alerts Auggie. He tells Natasha to stay with him and she gets up to leave thinking that she is set up. A car is coming toward them and Auggie tells her to grab his hand. The car barely misses them and Annie and Jay run to help Auggie. Natasha has run away. Back at Langley, the drivers of the vehicle are identified as the Europeans from Datatech. They belong to the Russian Mafia and Joan is upset that they have to give it to the FBI. Auggie is upset that they have to give up the case and storms off. He arrives home and Natasha is there. She tells that she had a key to his place still and she asks who it was that was trying to kill her. Auggie tells that it was the Russian Mafia. Natasha tells that years ago she worked for them and they feel that they own her. They said that they will kill her if she didn’t give up the code. Auggie tells that she needs to trust the CIA and she tells that she trusts the world.
The next day Auggie is late to work and Annie tells that he is never late. Jay and Annie go to Auggie’s place and find his CIA badge and keys on a table. Annie finds Natasha’s scarf on the chair. Meanwhile, Auggie and Natasha are on the train and he tells that he remembers them having fun last time they were on a train. Jay calls Joan and tells that Auggie is gone and that Natasha is with him. Annie tells that Auggie is still working the case and will get the information. Annie finds a Trans card credit card of $500 and asks where the closest charge was made. At Langley, they tell that 2 tickets were purchased to Montreal. Annie tells that she trusts Auggie but Jay is less then acceptant on that theory. Back on the train, Auggie tells that he is looking for a passenger that has a Nexus International card. Natasha tells that she can hack into the passenger list but Auggie tells that he needs the card. They hear a couple order some Back Beacon and Auggie picks up that he is a Canadian. They go to the couple and pose as the transit company’s hospitality department and Natasha steals the man’s wallet. Back at Langley, Joan tells that the FBI are stopping the train at Albany and Annie tells that Auggie wants the CIA to find them not the FBI. Jay tells Annie that she needs to look at the facts and not to trust Auggie. Joan tells that she doesn’t care who is right and that they need to get to Auggie first. She tells them to go to the air field.
The FBI stop the train but Natasha and Auggie are not on the train. Another train passes by and Natasha and Auggie are on it. Natasha hacks into the Nexus card and changes both their pictures to match the card. Auggie tells that he loved Natasha and that he did not want to leave her. They kiss and start taking off each other’s clothing. On the plane, Annie is shocked that they can’t fly on the private jet more often. Jay tells that it is only for the director. Jay receives a fax and it says that Auggie and Natasha were not on the train. Jay tells that he likes Auggie and that he is only looking at the facts. Annie tells that she trusts Auggie and she tells that she knows that she is right. She tells that the Amtrack splits at Albany and tells that they switched trains. At the international Border, Annie and Jay board the train. Auggie gets his new cards scanned and tells Natasha that they are in. The train jerks and Annie and Jay try to look for Auggie. There is a knock on Auggie’s door again and Natasha and him are kissing. Natasha gets the door and it is the Russian Mafia. They start fighting and Auggie tells Natasha to turn out the lights. He fights the two men and knocks one unconscious and fights with the other. The gun goes off and shoots the window. Annie and Jay start rushing to where Auggie and Natasha are. Auggie throws him out the window. Auggie tells that they FBI are going to be there and that they are going to have to jump. Natasha tells that she is a big girl and can take it from there. She asks if he would help her even if she didn’t have the code. He tells her that he would. She gives the code to him and kisses him goodbye and tells that she loves him. Auggie is upset that she is gone.
Annie and Jay catch up to Auggie and he tells that he got the hack. FBI come up to Auggie and asks where Natasha is but he tells that he didn’t see anything. Auggie meets with Joan and she tells that in order to get emotional with someone, he was to get emotional himself. She tells that he did a great job but to never scare them again. Auggie tells that he won’t be able to talk to Natasha again. Annie asks if it was worth it. Auggie picks up on her motives and tells that he will gather as much information from Liza and give it to Joan and then end it. She tells that she trusts her. Back at Danielle’s house, Danielle has a camera that Annie bought her and she tells that Annie is a great sister. Back at Auggie’s, he is approached by a woman it is Liza Hearn.
