Fool in the Rain - Recap

The scene opens in Toronto Canada at the World Trade Organization. A man puts files in his coat and starts to leave. Another man asks where he is going and he tells that he is going out. In the lobby, a guard is standing there and he tells him that he is going out. The guard is suspicious and tells that he thinks that they have a rabbit. The man is running quickly down the street. Meanwhile at Langley, Annie tells that she is working on something that the group of computer guys are already doing and Joan tells her that she should take a few days off. She tells that she is fine. Joan asks about the note and Annie pulls out the note that Ben Mercer left her in Shri Lanka that says „It’s complicated. I’m sorry”. She tells that she can tell Joan the paper type the ink used, the attitude of the person, but still can’t tell her why. Joan tells her to forget about it and to go on a short leave.

Later, Annie is in the bath tub and Danielle comes in. She tells that she has had it and she needs her advice. She tells that her husband would rather play golf than celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Danielle’s husband is at the door and defends that it is a game with his boss. Danielle asks if Annie will go with her since the hotel is already paid for. Annie tells that she will go. Back in Toronto, the man who stole the files, flags down a taxi and tells that he has $63 and asks how close it will get him to America. The cabby tells him to get into the cab and they drive to Niagara Falls. Annie is in the car with Danielle and she tells that they are going to Niagara Falls for their vacation. At Auggie’s apartment Liza Hearn is there and she tries to get information of an operation and Auggie tells that they have an agreement that she not press him for information and he won’t press her to reveal her sources. She apologizes and says that she is a reporter and therefore, relentless.

Arthur and Joan are in marriage counseling and Joan tells that Arthur never listens. Arthur begins to talk about Annie and Joan stops him. He gets upset and tells that whenever they talk about something that upsets Joan, she has to stop it, but she is not stopping it because she doesn’t like it. The counselor doesn’t have the high security clearance. Arthur has the counselor sit outside and Joan tells that Annie shouldn’t be pushed and tells that she gave her a few days off. Arthur tells that there is a person in need of protection exactly where Annie is located. Joan agrees and walks out of the office and tells the counselor that he needs to get into a different line of work.

In Niagara Falls, Annie is enjoying the view and Danielle tells that she is going to have to forget Shri Lanka and find a single guy. Danielle tells Annie to order a Spa trip while she takes a bath. Annie gets a call from Auggie and he tells that she has a mission. Danielle gets out and tells that the tub is amazing. Annie tells that she has to go for a run and grabs her stuff. The same man from earlier comes up to Annie’s car and asks if she is the woman he is supposed to be waiting for. She tells him to get in and calls him by his name Mr. Rahimi, but he would rather be called Ya-Ya. She asks for his passport and he tells that he doesn’t have it. Ya-Ya is ignoring her to listen to the radio and she tells that she needs to verify his identity. He shows his ID that he uses to get his DVDs. Annie sees Ya-Ya looking at a picture and asks if they are his kids. He tells that he doesn’t want to talk about his family. He tells that he wants to difect to the USA. Annie tells that they don’t even know if the intel that he has is worth anything. He shows the files. The next scene, Annie is looking over the file contents and tells Joan that Ya-Ya says that there is intel on the Iranian government and that they are doing something illegal. Joan tells her to fax them to her.

Annie approaches her car and Danielle is yelling at Ya-Ya to get out of her car. She runs down and tells that Ya-Ya has some art that the Smithsonian is interested in and that they are going to have to fax some documents. Danielle tells that she wants to go sight seeing and volunteers Ya-Ya to go with her. Annie agrees. Annie goes back and has bought a fax machine to get the fax to Langley. As she faxes, she flashbacks to the time she spent in Shri Lanka with Ben and he buys His and Her Sunglasses. She tells that he was arguing with the owner of the shop and Ben hides it and says it was a deal. He tells that he can take her to an island where no one will find them. She comes back to reality and continues to fax. Meanwhile, Danielle and Ya-Ya are on the ferry to go see the Niagara Falls up close and she tells that it was supposed to be her husband and her second honeymoon but instead he is playing golf. She decided to go anyways and Ya-Ya tells that he will forgive her when she gets him. He tells that he was arranged to be married but that she moved to America with her family. He pulls out the picture of him and his girlfriend. It is the same picture Annie saw him looking at earlier.

Jai walks in and gives the intel but that they are bringing cigarettes and alcohol into Iran. Meanwhile, Danielle and Ya-Ya are playing Ski-ball and Annie gets a call from Joan and she asks when they can hand Ya-Ya over to the officials and she tells that Ya-Ya is to go back to Iran to be an asset. Later in the car, Ya-Ya doesn’t like the fact that they are sending him back and he tells that things don’t work the same in Iran and they will do bad things. He gets out of the car and leaves. Annie calls Joan and tells that he has searched everywhere. Joan tells her that they are sending some Iranian officials to handle it and to get them up to speed with everything and for her to enjoy the rest of her vacation. Back at Langley, Arthur invites Auggie into his office and tells that he has a picture of him and Liza Hearn. He tells that he is working an operation on her and Arthur tells that Auggie went rogue. Auggie tells that Liza tried to get information on a secret case. He tells that he told her that he did not know anything about it. Arthur tells him that they can use it to their advantage and for Auggie to tell Liza a lie to get her on a running goose chase. Arthur tells Auggie to keep it from Joan.

Back in Niagara Falls, Annie sunbathes by the pool by Danielle and she tells that Ya-Ya had a girlfriend when he was younger that lives in New Jersey. She found her and called. She is going to be arriving within the hour to meet him on the observation deck. Annie tells that she has to go make a call and calls Jai and tells him the news. Jai asks if Ya-Ya is not just playing her. Joan takes the phone and asks if she is on her way to find Ya-Ya and she says yes. Joan walks over to Auggie’s desk and asks where he is. An agent tells that he was called up to DCS. Meanwhile in the park, Auggie meets with Liza Hearn and tells that person she needs to Jacquine Kuyper because he is in the Albion Group. She asks why such the change of heart and he tells that it has been a long time since he looked at himself in the mirror and needed a friend to call him on it.

Back in Niagara Falls, Annie goes to the observation deck and flashbacks to when she was in Shri Lanka with Ben. She tells that she has to leave tomorrow but tells that she can change her flight. He tells her to do it. Suddenly Ben sees a man on the beach and tells that he left his sandals on the beach. He meets the man out there in a ball cap and Annie snaps back to reality. She gets a call from Jai and he tells that Rudebay is in New Jersey. But Ya-Ya is talking to two people. One of the men has a gun and Ya-Ya tells that he doesn’t want to go back. Joan tells Annie to stay out of it and Annie doesn’t listen to her call. She follows the trail that Ya-Ya left and goes intot he Restricted Area. She follows them and suddenly the woman starts fighting with Annie. Ya-Ya makes the man with the gun fall into the Nigagra and Annie finally knocks the woman unconscious. There is a shout for help. It is Ya-Ya and he is hanging on to a bar. Annie grabs a chain and pulls up Ya-Ya.

In the ambulance, Ya-Ya is getting patched up and tells Annie that she has to be CIA. Annie tells that the NROC (National Resettlement Operation Center) is going to take him somewhere to live. The head of NROC comes up and tells that they have to process him now. Annie gets to her hotel with her sister and she comes out of a closet quickly and tries to hide her bra and dress shoes that are not hers. Annie hears a sound in the closet and asks if she is alone. She tells that she isn’t and the door opens. It is Michael and Danielle says that he surprised her. Annie tells that she wills see them at home. At a bar, Auggie sits down and Liza Hearn tells that Auggie sent her on a wild goose chase and that she was almost buying his conflicted routine. Auggie tells that he doesn’t want to talk about it and she sees Jai in a ball cap that was the same as the man on the beach. She flashbacks and realizes it was Jai. He asks what is wrong and says she looks like she has just seen a ghost. She latter takes the latter that Ben Left for her and burns it.
