The Outsiders - Recap

The scene opens in the Białowieża Forest in Poland. Annie and Reva are hiking and Annie tells that they don’t always get a chance to hike up a nice mountain to a beautiful view. Reva tells that is what Google Earth is for. They set rocks that have built-in surveillance gear in them and Annie calls Auggie and tells that they are all set. He says that he has them. Annie looks over at the Belorussia border and sees something. It looks like a city, but there are no people are there. Suddenly they have Belarusian soldiers behind them with guns pointed at them. They escort Annie and Reva in the back of a truck and drive them off. Inside the truck, Reva says that the cameras would have gotten the plate, but Annie says that they are headed for Belarus because they were Belarusian soldiers. She tells that they are going to be alright. Meanwhile, Auggie and Joan watch the feed and realize that the Belarusians have Annie and Reva. Joan says that she has a good idea.

Meanwhile in Berlin, Germany, Jai meets with someone and the man asks if Jai made any mistakes and he says that he has been too much of a diplomat. Joan calls and says that Annie and Reva have been kidnapped and he needs to get to Poland. He walks off and agrees. At Belarus, a man introduces himself as Max Cupola, a Belarusian soldier. He says that they are under arrest for espionage. Annie says that they are just tourists and Max takes out her GPS tracking radio and tells that she didn’t buy this at a sports store. Meanwhile, Jai gets the team together and go in a helicopter. They find the truck and catch up to it. However, Annie’s tracker radio is there, but no Annie. Jai calls Joan and tells her the update. At a residence, Annie and Reva are escorted out by Max. Annie asks where they are, but Max only takes him inside. Annie tells that they are just hikers. Max tells them to sit down and tells them that there is no phone for them to call the Canadian Embassy. He tells them that they need to eat. Max leaves and Reva says that the soup could be poisoned. Annie tells that they need them alive and that it is not.

Back at the CIA, Joan asks what the Belarusian’s are asking. The lawyers say that they want $60 Million. The State Department asks why they weren’t read in on it. Joan tells that she didn’t have time to. They tell Joan to give them 2 days to try to negotiate with them. Joan calls Jai to stay in country and find them regardless of what the State Department says. At the residence, Max gives Annie a drink and asks what it is like to be a spy. Annie still plays her cover and says that she doesn’t know. He tells that they are going to be asking for a random and tells that he knows that she is a CIA spy because she didn’t read about his country in a tour guide. However, she still sticks to her cover and says that he isn’t going to see the money. The secret police are going to take it and give him only 10%. She tells that she doesn’t have an agency and he tells her that she won’t be staying at a nice house then. Danielle and the girls are looking in Annie’s room for stickers when Danielle finds Annie’s passport. She calls her cell phone and tells that she can give it to her if she wants. Auggie gets the message.

Back in the cottage, Annie talks to the soldiers in Russian and asks them to toast to the meal. She offers to drink with them and shows that she can hold her own with the Vodka. She starts to sing a Russian song and they join in. Annie takes the bottle of Vodka and smashes it in the fire. They escape and start walking. Reva sits down and says that they have been walking 9 miles based on her bizarre calculations. Annie tells that they can go to Ukraine and not Poland because the Secret Police will be expecting that. Meanwhile, Auggie meets with Branch and asks him for a favor and tells about the Passport being found. Jai calls and tells Joan that they have it a snag and that it is going to take them a little bit to repair the helicopter. Danielle goes to the British Embassy and tells that her sister Annie is supposed to be in Edinburg, but she doesn’t have her passport. Branch comes up and tells that he has this and tells Danielle that Annie has been given a temporary passport for her stay in Edinburg. She thanks him and leaves. Branch calls Auggie and tells that he owes him a bottle of Malt Liquor.

Annie and Reva come to a river and Annie tests out the water. It is safe to drink. She tastes some berries and says that they are not poisonous because she knows the berries from when she was little and her father was in the military. Annie sees a farm and suggests that they go there. Reva says that she doesn’t want to go and starts to backtrack to Poland. However, she trips and falls and hurts her ankle. They decide that they don’t have a choice now and have to take their chances. They approach the house and a little girl comes up to them and Annie says hello. They invite them in and wrap up Reva’s foot and give them food. That night, Max and his team arrive at the house. Annie wakes up Reva and tells that they have to go. The owners of the house tell them to go around back and the team searches the house. Max looks at the owner and realizes that he doesn’t know anything. They leave.

At the CIA, Joan comes in and says that the Belarusians sent a new request of $80 Million. Auggie feels that they are desperate and feel that Annie and Reva have escaped. Jail calls and says that there is a call out of two American tourists that match Annie and Reva’s description. Auggie tells that he called it first. Jai asks what they are going to do now and suggest that they have to be creative. Auggie feels that they are going to the Ukraine. Annie helps Reva with her leg and sees that Max is on their trail. They come to a cliff and Annie says that they have to jump in the river. They do it and manage to get across and have a few more yards away from the Ukrainian border. They hear motorcycles, but it is Jai and his team. They get on and drive to the boarder. Later at the CIA, Joan tells Annie that the town that Annie saw was a front for sending weapons to hostile nations. Reva got a promotion to the Advanced Technology Desk and Reva thanks Annie for the help. Annie goes up to Auggie and apologizes to him for leaving her passport out. Auggie tells that it is fine. Annie gets home and finds Danielle in the kitchen. They hug and Danielle tells that she would have been stuck without her and Annie agrees. The episode ends.
