A Girl Like You - Recap

The scene opens with Annie with a date when Agent Rasobi calls her and asks her to meet him. She tells him that she is on a date. He asks politely and she agrees. She tells her date that she has to go to work and he thinks that she is brushing him off. Annie goes with Rasobi and he says that he has an informant who is getting harassed by a CIA agent. She asks what she can do and Rasobi tells her that she can tell her boss that they need to back off. He tells Annie that they are supposed to meet at a bar later tonight. She says that she will see what she can do. She calls Auggie and he tells her that there is no operative working an angle or mission. She gets into the bar to find that the “CIA operative” is Eyal Lavin.

He has her sit down and she asks what he is up to. He plays it off as nothing. Annie tells him not to meet with the person tonight and to stop pretending to be CIA. He says that if she reports back to Joan, she is going to want to know why he is there and then will be assigned to find out. Later, Joan confirms what Eyal said and she tells that the informant is Jacob Yasin, the son of a wealthy member of the Arabic Immigrants and part owner of an international construction firm. Jai comes in and says that the DCI wants Special Projects on it as well. Annie asks what she needs to tell Rasobi. Joan tells her to tell him nothing because it is a need to know basis and he doesn’t need to know. Jai objects and says that it is good to keep them in the loop. However, Joan says that Annie is her operative and she says that she isn’t going to read him in. Auggie says that it is just lying among friends.

Annie talks to Rasobi and tells him that they are off the case, but he needs more. Annie hangs up when she sees Eyal coming up. He tells her to come with him since she is following him. She asks why he is working Jacob. He says that he has information who can lead them to another person of interest. However, he is silent. Meanwhile, Parker tells Auggie that the Peace Corps is a nice place for her, but Auggie doesn’t like the location where she is heading. He tells her that he is happy for her. She says that she isn’t leaving for four months. Annie and Eyal get to a location where Eyal thinks that Jacob is. They break in and Eyal says that Jacob brings his girlfriends there and even the FBI isn’t there. They get in to find Jacob and Eyal hits him. Annie asks what he is doing and he says that he is doing Plan B.

They sit Jacob down and the girl tells that she is going to leave. Annie allows her to go and Eyal is upset that Annie is not following the right protocol with an asset. She asks Jacob politely to help them. Eyal shows him the picture of the man they want. He says that he doesn’t know anything because all he does is leave a piece of tape somewhere and the man makes a mark if he wants to meet or not. They take him in the car and drive him to the spot. Eyal and Annie get out and Annie asks Eyal why he gave up medicine. He says that it wasn’t for him. Meanwhile, Auggie goes in to see Joan. He asks her if she can make a call to Peace Corps to reassign Parker. She tells him to write a note and she will make sure that it gets into the right hands. Annie asks Eyal who they are meeting with. Eyal says that he only knows him by his code name, Cardinal. He is an operative for the same agency he belongs to. Annie tries to call the CIA to check in, but Eyal throws the phone out the window. He says that she doesn’t need to check in.

They drive up to find that there is tape on the mailbox and Jacob tells them to drive strait. They do so until they come to a traffic jam. Eyal honks his horn when suddenly a gun shot is heard and Jacob is shot in the head. They get out and Eyal manages to shoot two of the three men. The last man puts a bomb under Eyal’s car and it goes off and Annie and Eyal make it out of the way just in time. However, the man gets away and the FBI and Agent Rasobi show up. Later at FBI Headquarters, Rasobi asks why they didn’t keep them in the loop and says that his asset is dead because of these two agents. Joan says that Eyal is not theirs and says that he is on his way back home now. Joan tells Rasobi that Eyal is from the Middle East and Jai interrupts and tells Rasobi that he is Masaad from Israel. He tells Rasobi that they have every intention to cooperate, but he is not interested. He tells Eyal to leave and never come back, but for Annie he tells that he has questions. He tells Joan and Jai to find their way out. Joan tells Jai never to undermine her again.

Annie gets into the CIA and sees Auggie. He says that she did a great job with the tough situation. He says that the FBI caught one of the shooters and he talked. They are going after the man that Eyal is hunting. He says that the man who they are hunting isn’t really a Maasad agent, but really a Yemeni Hitter. He says that this isn’t Annie’s fault. He mentions an operation in 2002 and Annie remembers that year from Eyal telling her that he was in Med School. She goes to a hotel and finds Eyal there. She talks to him and asks how he is there. He says that the Air Marshal is a former Masaad Agent and he did him a favor. She tells him that there is nothing humanitarian about his mission. Eyal says that Cardinal’s real name is Fouad Saeed. He was the one who shot and killed Eyal’s sister. Annie realizes that it is a suicide mission and asks him not to do it. Eyal asks why she is still there. Eyal goes back to his room and Annie follows. She goes inside and they start kissing. However, Annie ties him to the bed and tells him that once the FBI has Fouad in custody, she will come back and get him and set him free.

Annie goes downstairs and calls Auggie with Eyal’s phone. She says that he is there at the hotel, but is detained. Auggie tells Annie that the FBI couldn’t catch Fouad and says that they don’t know where he is. Suddenly Annie sees Fouad and two other men come into the hotel. They go toward the elevators and Annie says that they are going after Eyal. Auggie tells her that Jai has a team in route. Annie takes the stairs. Jai and his team arrive and Annie manages to get to Eyal’s floor just as the men are going into the room. Fouad and his men get into the room and Eyal is freed from Annie’s ties on his own accord and hits the men. Annie comes in and takes down one of the men. Eyal is shot in the shoulder and Fouad runs off. He follows him to the roof and Annie hears a gun shot. She gets to the roof and finds Eyal standing and Fouad dead. Rasabi come up and asks who shot who. Jai is there and says that he shot Eyal is self defense. Annie goes up to Eyal and he tells her that he will see where the tides take him then. Auggie goes in and gives Joan a form stating that he is in a relationship. She thanks him for telling her. The episode ends with Annie at the same hotel bar waiting to see if anyone will come through the door.
