Spike Spiegel [Resourcful, Martial Arts master], voiced by Steven Jay Blum (1)
Spike Spiegel is an ex-Red Dragon syndicate member turned bounty hunter. He spends most his time on The Bebop with ex-cop Jet Black. Though he still cannot forget his long lost-love Julia which he scowers the solar system for.
After a turn of misfortunate events, his past catches up with him and his ex-partner, Vicious is gunning for him. He's thrown into the fray again on Callisto after a tip for Julia turns up. The tip turns out to be true, but Spike was too late, running into Vicious, and a man named Gren.
After another narrow escape, Spike is once again grabbing bounty heads, but can't shake the feelings he still holds for Julia. And through out his travels with Faye, the two of them have also grown very close.
As Vicious's plans to overthrow the Red Dragon elders fails, the Red Dragons are hunting all the younger members, including Spike and Julia, who finally find each other in the city of Tharsus on Mars.
Vicous's plan ends with success as the elders are betrayed. Now Vicious goes after the two AWOL members for the last time.
Vicious catches up with them at Annie's book store and Julia is killed....in vengance, Spike loads up on artillary and the final show down between the ex-partners begins.... |
