Not even the cops can control the violence erupting on the streets of the Martian capital Tharsis. The Red Dragon crime syndicate is in the middle of a succession war, and many old scores are being settled. Vicious is sentenced to death for disobeying the elders, while his former rival, one Spike Spiegel, finds there’s a price on his own head. Reunited at long last with his true love Julia, he is forced to confront more ghosts from his own past, while Jet tries to talk him out of it by quoting Ernest Hemingway – always a sign of trouble on the horizon. | | There are no foreign summaries for this episode: Contribute |

Episode Quotes |
| |
Vicious: A serpent's venom poisons slowly after the bite. | Vicious: And you will shed tears of scarlet. | Julia: Tell him I'll be waiting for him there. That's all. He'll know what it means | Jet: So what's she like?
Faye: Ordianry. A dangerous, beautiful ordianry. Like a devil from paradise, or an angel from the underworld | Van: A snake cannot eat a dragon. | Jet: Find what you lost and get it back! | (Flashback during Jet's operation)
Spike: When this is over, I'm leaving the syndicate.
Julia: They'll kill you. You know how they work.
Spike: Huh. Let them say I'm dead... I'll be waiting at the graveyard. By the graves, not in them.
Julia: Spike... I can't come with you.
Spike: Yes you can. We'll leave, get out of this.
Julia: And go where? Do what?
Spike: Live...and be free. It'll be like watching a dream. | Vicious: So, you were going to betray me?
(Julia shrugs)
Vicious: Did you really think you could just leave?
Julia: Vicious...
Vicious: Keep dreaming, Julia. It's never going to happen.
Julia: Are you going to kill him?
Vicious: I'm not. You're going to do it for me.
(He lays a gun on the table in front of her)
Vicious: Either you kill him, or else both of you die. Those are your only options. | Vicious: The Syndicate doesn't need corpses that can't fight. |
