Boogie Woogie Feng Shui
Released On: August 01, 2000
Region: 1
Production Company: Bandai

Description:
The title of the tape is 'Boogie Woogie Feng-Shui', and that is the first episode. Jet gets a distressingly cryptic message on the computer and begins a search for a missing Feng Shui master with his young daughter and her mystic Feng Shui divination board. Soon, the crew of Bebop is put out by Jet's new 'girlfriend' and their entanglement with the mob who also seeks the dead master. 'Cowboy Funk' the second episode on the tape deals with a Unibomber type character named Teddy Bomber who plants Teddy bears with high explosives inside monolithic office towers on a crusade to protest mankind's expansion and proliferation. However, that is only the B story....the A story is that a bounty hunter named Andy is after Teddy Bohmer as well, and unfortunately he thinks Spike is the bomber. Soon, Andy has seduced Faye and battled Spike in an all out destruction fest. The masquerade party is especially funny with Jet being a hippie in a MJ tee shirt and the Teddy Bomber as a huge teddy bear.

Mushroom Samba
Released On: May 02, 2000
Region: 1
Production Company: Bandai

Description:
Radical Edward and Ein make an awsome team together in this riot filled epsiode of Cowboy Bebop. I couldn't stop laughing as she rode on that motor powered scooter and causing trouble for everybody on the scene. For the first and only time I saw her wearing socks but she took them off because she kept falling on her butt. She made the right choice cause I like to be barefooted too. I reconized some more talents of hers such as walking on her hands and rolling down the street in a doughnut shape. Too bad she was only used only as comedy relief, she and Ein would make a great spinoff cartoon like pretty Sammy. I hope the creator of Cowboy Bebop would do just that. Computers and being barefooted rules! Yea!

My Funny Valentine
Released On: April 04, 2000
Region: 1
Production Company: Bandai

Description:
"My Funny Valentine" gives us a glimpse into Faye's past in an unusual and interesting fashion without giving away too much about her. Though we learn little about her "incurable condition" and what led her to be cryogenically frozen we are given privy to her private hopes and dreams for the future as a child and her terrifying adjustment to the future as an adult. "Black Dog Serenade" explores the origins of Jet Black's artifical arm. Attempting to stop a violent band of killers in control of a prison ship we see that the person who took Jet's arm is not who he thought it was.

Jamming With Edward

Description:
As it said, a must see. I own all the cowboy bebop episodes and I must say that it is an amazing series with great graphics. Also with Spike, the main person, who just oozes the coolness. But I have to say that Edward Wong Hau Pepilu Trivuski the 4 is my favorite characture. She is too cool 4 words. One crazy hacker you don't want abord your ship!

Honky Tonk Woman
Released On: November 23, 1999
Region: 1
Production Company: Bandai

Description:
The second tape in Cowboy Bebop's series is a little more focused than the first, which is both a good and bad thing I suppose. In "Honky Tonk Woman," we're introduced to faye, the oh so sexy Lady Luck, who gives Spike, Jet, and pretty much everyone else in the episode a total headache. A case of mistaken identity draws Spike into Faye's desperate attempt to get out of gambling debt? All she has to do is get one chip, she's told, and he rdebts disappear. As usual in "Bebop," however. . .nothing's that easy. The second episode, "Gateway Shuffle," is a crackerjack action piece. A group called the Space Warriors has a plan to make perhaps the ultimate environmental statement . . .curing the bug in the system known as man. Faye, Spike and Jet are once again drawn together to thwart it. . .for money, of course. The show is by the numbers, but the quality is stand-out--the final fight in space (I won't spoil *why*) is fantastically paced an animated, and indicative of the quality that permetates every part of this show.

Asteroid Blues
Released On: September 14, 1999
Region: 1
Production Company: Bandai

Description:
Each of these two snazzy 20-minute installments is a self-contained and satisfying adventure tale about a futuristic hipster bounty hunter, from the most popular Japanese animated TV series of 1998. This is elegant action-comedy anime, with smoothly integrated CGI space-flight elements, gorgeous graphics, blues harmonica and sax riffs on the soundtrack, and a no-sweat post-Tarantino attitude. Despite occasional eruptions of gun-fu Asian-action violence, and some intimations of heavy-duty drug use (one especially noxious narcotic is administered as an aerosol spray, straight onto the user's eyeballs), the tone is surprisingly convivial. None of the generic tough elements are grim or mean-spirited. Lanky antihero Spike Spiegel is a planet-hopping freelance cop with a cyborg sidekick and a genetically enhanced Welsh Corgi assistant, and as many wisecracks as punches get thrown. The emphasis is on clever twists of plot in an episodic short-story format.
