Episode Quotes
Prentiss: Why would the unsub use a date rape drug to commit a hate crime?
Reid: (after remembering being drugged by Tobias during his own captivity) Maybe he wants to weaken them, so they can't fight back.
Morgan: I was just thinking---I know how hard it is to grow up without a father.
Prentiss: Their father died a hero.
Morgan: Yeah. So did mine. Doesn't make it any easier.
Reid: (in voiceover) The life of the dead is preserved in the memory of the living. ---Cicero
Morgan: Reid, you all right?
Reid: (barely awake) Hmm?
Morgan: I said, are you all right?
Reid: I'm fine. (looks around) Thanks for broadcasting.
Morgan: Reid, listen to me. What you went through out there, nobody expects you to rebound---
Reid: I can still do my job, all right? I'm not going to freak out.
Morgan: You think I don't know that?
(Reid pauses, considering)
Reid: It was the crime scene photos.
Morgan: Crime scene photos?
Reid: Dead girls in the leaves.
Morgan: (not quite understanding) Reid, we've seen worse.
Reid: (softly) I know. (louder) I know we've seen worse, but...for the first time, I know. I look at them...I look at them, and I know. I know what they were thinking, and I know what they were feeling just before...
Morgan: It's called empathy. And it's a good thing.
Reid: (shaking his head) No, it's not. It's got me all messed up---I don't know how to focus, I can't do my job as well...so what do I do?
Morgan: You use it. Let it make you a better profiler. A better person.
