Curb Appeal: The Block: A 1970's General Store Is Transformed Into a Charming Home

Diana Phillips and Mate Adamkovics recently purchased a home in Oakland that used to be a general store up until the 1970's, but is now a residential home. The entrance is extremely awkward as there is a decrepit wooden fence and an overgrown persimmon tree blocking most of the house, which is a bright sea foam blue color. This project will certainly be a challenge, but if anyone can handle it, it's designer John Gidding. John's vision is to incorporate the history of the house while making it a comfortable and charming residence for this family.
