DCI Banks

DCI Banks is based on the successful detective novel written by crime writer Peter Robinson. The series stars Stephen Tompkinson as DCI Banks. Two young policemen are sent to a house following a report of a domestic disturbance and they end up discovering a horrific scene. DCI Alan Banks ends up being pushed to the absolute limits in the case after the identity of a serial killer has finally been revealed. His capture though is only the beginning of a shocking investigation.

The first series was known by the title DCI Banks: Aftermath. The second series saw the detective investigating more cases.

Emily Rydell has apparently been brutally beaten to death and DCI Banks quickly ends up being in the middle of a murder investigation with many suspects. After a surveillance operation establishes a link between the murder of Charles McKay and Brian Clough, Banks and Annie soon work out that the two cases have to be connected.
