The morals and ethics of euthanasia is debated when a reporter releases a witness account of a mercy killing, prompting an inquest to find the reporter's source. The issue touches upon Dominic's personal life as his father has suffered a recent stroke.

Meanwhile, Mick takes in his brother who has gotten himself into some trouble.

Meanwhile, Dominic lets Morris handle a case of a male prostitute found dead by the Spanish banks.

While attending a Homicide conference in Seattle, Dominic discovers several cases in other cites, that not only share similarities to each other, but also to a recent homicide in Vancouver. Everyone begins to hunt down a serial killer who is drugging women, and dumping their bodies, working their way up the Pacific Northwest.
