This live-action, multi-camera series follows two successful guys - and childhood best friends - now in their mid-30s, whose relatively stable lives get turned upside down when their pain-in-the-neck patriarchs move in.
The pilot episode introduces us to Eli and Warner, best friends who own and run a video game business. Their lives change radically when their fathers move in with them, and threaten a badly needed business deal.
The guys use marijuana laced brownies on their fathers to keep them out of their hair.
Eli "loans" Edna to Warner for the weekend to help out a stressed Camilla, only to discover that she doesn't want to return. When Veronica gets permission to hire an intern, the guys are dismayed to learn she has hired Crawford.
Eli dates and then invites an extremely annoying girl to move in with him just to spite his father. Warner agrees to let Crawford do some voice over work for his video game and comes to regret it.
Warner and Eli are faced with getting physicals for their insurance coverage, and they recommend their fathers do the same. The results are surprising, however, and a followup exam for Warner goes awry.
When yet another assistant quits after mistreatment by Eli, Warner hires an older, more mature woman in an attempt to avoid a discrimination lawsuit. However, when both of their dads are attracted to her, Warner and Eli encourage them to pursue her in hopes it will get one or both of them out of the house.
David and Eli are temporarily forced out of their house by bedbugs and Camila's desire to stretch her wings and act in a local play causes dissension between her, Warner and Crawford.
Eli and Warner's friendship is strained when Warner replaces Eli with Camilla as his partner in a virtual game tournament.
Eli decides to protect his beloved comic book collection from his father by placing them in a storage unit, which is prompted robbed. When Warner suddenly comes into possession of a similar set of comics, the friends tussle.
A fight between Eli and David ends up with social services getting involved. When the investigator hears about living conditions he removes David from an unsafe environment as well as Crawford who happened to be visiting and happily narc'ed on Warner. Initial elation for Eli and Warner turns to guilt as they try to fix the problem.
A disgruntled ex-programmer threatens to ruin their latest video game and Eli and Warner take steps to resolve the problem. David takes a seasonal job to earn some money for a present for Eli.
Eli's life is turned upside down when Edna gets detained by the INS. To appease Eli, David takes drastic action to save Edna.
Eli uses Veronica's illness as a ploy to try to sleep with her.
Eli's new girlfriend has a 12 year old son who bullies Eli and steals his latest video game. Warner finds excuses to sleep on his comfortable couch in lieu of sleeping with Camilla.
Warner gets the house to himself when Camilla visits her sister. To make the solitude complete, Warner sends Crawford to a hotel where David joins him and the two are mistaken for being a gay couple. Meanwhile Eli helps Warner look up old girlfriends on Facebook and Warner ends up with a problem.
Eli and Warner get too close to some wiseguys they hire as consultants for a new video game.
After Crawford despoils their couch after a night of heavy drinking, Camila declares they are all going on the wagon. To pass the time, Crawford and Warner turn to singing and end up causing havoc at an AA meeting. Meanwhile, Edna is trying to figure out who is stealing from her change jar.
Warner's dreams are realized when Crawford moves out while Eli feels guilty after David's heart attack and Veronica has big news.
